    @Yskaya - That is very cool. I like the weathered look with scratches and all.

    That's a good one @imaginarypeople - again, another terrific vandalhandle. The kerchief/goggles/top hat combo is a winner in any style!

    @vandalhandle: Awesome pic man! I've never drawn a "steampunk" style drawing before, but your image seemed to call to me to do so. Also for any steampunk fans out there who find I may have missed to point on how steampunk is suppose to look, I apologize in advance, it's not my typical style. I've included both a black and white as well as a colored version. Just because. Kudos again on the awesome fodder!

    @ Anthonyofkazoo

    No, aside from being just a touch too colourful (pretty though), you've pretty much got is perfect,

    I just spent an hour working on six different shots (1cara, 2argos, 1comicbookbunny, 2oldhat, 1oda) and they are all terrible. So, I shan't be posting them, but I feel it should be known that I am trying. That is all.

    @Anthony!! The colour is brilliant! What did you use?
  7.  (9386.14)
    Thanks for the kind comments everyone! @diello: Thanks! I use art markers on Bristol board for all my drawings. I wish it were more hi-tech than that, but I'm very old school with my equipment. Mostly because I can't afford programs like photoshop. Thanks for the interest!

    @Anthony
    You have great command of the markers. I could never get them to not bleed all over each other or blend properly.
  8.  (9386.16)
    @diello: Thanks a lot! I have found using smooth Bristol board is the best kind of paper for markers, almost no bleeding. Also Prismacolor art markers seem to bleed less than an average marker. I've not been able to blend as well, but starting with the lightest colors, then going over them with darker and darker ones has given me the best results. Hope that helps! Thanks again for the great compliments!

    I'm very old school with my equipment. Mostly because I can't afford programs like photoshop.

    i have the opposite problem. i already had photoshop, and now that i am broke i can not afford pens and markers so i do most my coloring these days on the computer.
    i guess you work with what you have
  10.  (9386.18)
    @imaginarypeople: You do bring up a good point. I could probably afford to buy photoshop software if I saved all the money I would have spent on paper and markers through the year. In the long run it would be a good investment to eventually work with an electronic tablet and a good illustrator program. Though I do still enjoy the hands on feeling of a pen in my hand and ink on the paper. "You work with what you have" truer words have not been spoken.
  11.  (9386.19)
    @anthony yeah i do all my sketches and outlines by hand. i also enjoy that feeling of a pen or pencil in my hand as i draw. i really wanna get an electronic tablet but as i have said before being broke sucks.
