Speaking of atheism, it's not so much God and Jesus that bug me so much as the people gobblin' that shit down. I don't like being lied to. I was just posting in the "Black Summer" thread how there is not the slightest bit of difference between the PETA fascists and the anti abortion fanatics.
Whether your beliefs come from the Bible or a quasiliberal atheistic upbringing you should not have the right to force them on others.
Not all religion is bad either. The red letter christians who follow what Jesus actual said rather than what some church interpreted 700 years later
believe in leading by example and charity. One of the reason atheism is so common in eastern Europe is it was a law until a few years ago.
The communists thought that getting rid of old belief systems ,sharing resources based on need and ending sexism and the exploitation of the poor by the rich would lead to a better state and a better world.
