Anyone else here using it? I am, predictably, to be found on the service as warrenellis.
Instagram is a social mobile photoblogging app for iOS. (There's talk of porting it to other services, but right now it's iOS only.) It comes with a handful of basic processing filters, a simple way to make iPhone photos look better.
It's actually kind of fun. I have just a few friends and acquaintances added to mine, like Katie West, Brian Wood and the comics artist Jock, and I get pretty pictures a few times a day.
i'm using it to upload pictures to tumblr. It' nice, the filters are really good. some weeks ago there was a webpage called followgram that it was some kind of directory of instagram but it was shutdown or something like that.
Haha, I seriously just downloaded this before I came over to whitechapel and saw this thread. My boyfriend uses it, and I was really liking his photos from it, so I I went ahead and got it, too.
The problem for me is I have a Touch and I pretty much live in a wi-fi dry environment, so it's easier to just use the camera app and upload the photos to my computer later.
Downloaded it a couple weeks ago, haven't messed with it yet. I suppose that's something I should get to in the next day or so. Given how it works, I can certainly see uses from a graphical-integration standpoint as well, whether pulling textures from it, or whatnot.
Edit: Oops. Username is Seantaclaus.
(Sometimes I'm not firing on all 3.5 cylinders. Shhh.)
Bit of a tangent, but just discovered beta.mflow.com for music discovery. No ads or subscription like spotify, and I am still mourning the loss of pandora in the UK. No crappy flash or ugly interface like blip.
