Maybe I'm being horribly jaded, but I'm more excited about this news than I am about the DC 52-title reboot.

Speaking of the UK and CCTV cameras reminded me of Alan Moore's V FOR VENDETTA. Back when he was first putting the series together, he wanted to create a visual symbol of his near-future fascist government's social control. So Moore came up with the concept of having ubiquitous CCTV cameras long before they became a commonplace item in the UK. I don't think having that idea become reality made him dance with joy.

Was just watching BERG’s Matt Jones and Jack Schulze in the lecture posted on Warren’s Wordpress site but it is not clear to me when the lecture was given; their reference to an April release date for SVK has brought on The Fear. This is one of those atemporality things right, RIGHT? Where April of 2012 actually means any day now?

We had to push the release date back a bit, that's all. Complicated, complex project.

It's not often a publisher has to design and arrange individual shipping packages to ensure a UV torch button doesn't get depressed in transit.

    Expectations readjusting, The Fear subsiding.

Also, the lecture was indeed quite wonderful.

the fact that they care enough about the UV torch not arriving with the battery dead makes me like this company/project even more.
Really hope this is a huge success for everyone, lord know's you're already going to get my money.

No, we both got it from the same place: the work of David Icke.

Work seems a rather kind way of describing David Icke's silliness.

SVK at the printers, for those that don't follow Warren's twitter.

Well, when I saw this from Jamais Cascio: "SVK will only be available via mail order, and will be on sale very soon."

Plus, solution to UV flashlights is take out the battery.

Plus, all the near-readiness-looking pics and info.

    =

I thought you were pulling my leg.

    Burn! :)

Really, really looking forward to this title. If it's a success, will we be seeing further stories told in this fashion?

The chances of me doing much more in the comics form AT ALL over the next couple of years are getting smaller all the time. We live in a bold new decade where people apparently think the projects I am doing are photoshop jobs.

Sad to hear. But I am eagerly awaiting your novel(s). And I always dig your essays; can't wait for the second DO ANYTHING, and whatever else you've got in-store for the world that is non-comics related.

I do get it, finally. I am clearly ignorant of how much more work needs to be done at this point and I certainly don’t mean to disparage anyone’s efforts. It’s a case of tossing wish thinking at selected scraps of information about something I would dearly like to have in my hands sooner rather than later. Mea culpa.
