I'm sitting at home waiting for my wife to pop out a baby. She thinks it will be today. Contractions are about 15 minutes apart, but not very painful she says. We haven't agreed on a name yet. We have both thought of names, but neither of us likes the one the other does.
We got an offer on our flat (apartment) this week, only 4 days after it went on sale. £19K less than the asking price, but still £51K more than we thought it was worth 2 weeks ago. The sky has gone all weird here - like it's the colour of Facebook, and there's a very bright round thing in it that's making my eyes hurt. It might be the apocalypse. @stsparky - I guess it depends on your views about redemption, remorse and whether undergoing punishment absolves previous crimes. I think being repeatedly shot counts as punishment!

My wife and I discuss this on a regular basis - usually in the context of paedophiles. She is a lot more absolute and unforgiving than I am (a bit like Kait, though without the *unusual* sexual proclivities). For myself, I try to believe that redemption is possible.

I think that since Luke reanimated after his "death" he has appeared a lot less entitled, has shown guilt & remorse, and has made the first efforts to atone. It may be a big act, but I hope it isn't...

Does make you wonder how they are going to deal with Mark once he's had more of a chance to explain himself. Further feeling conflicted about Luke because he's finally investigating the questions I've been pondering for most of the FA run - how did they come to be freakangels? How much do they know about themselves and how can they find out the rest? Why do they have these abilities? Where do they come from? Etc etc. Luke recognizes not only his specific guilt but how the group's collective action implicates them.

Will the others match him in seeing the potentials? Will they wise up? Will whatever happens to Luke next mean he never selfishly hurts other people again? Will WE ever get to find out the origins of the freakangels??! I think we all knew in the end that Luke would be the one to at least voice the questions, if not investigate them. He is brilliant, after all. A total asswipe, but a brilliant one. But I think we also knew that his never-put-to-good-use brilliance would be no good at all without the others taking it and making good use of it.

But if it took them all - un-'upgraded' - working together to break the world ( so far as we know ), what will it take for them all 'upgraded', working together to FIX the world?

( also - how would Luke expect them to 'do away' with him anyhow? Kirk's suggestion of a lobotomy seems futile in the face of his other 'lobotomy' earlier...
