@Zo You're abs are looking great! I just took a picture of my torso myself, except mine is a "before" picture showcasing the chub I'm hoping to lose in the coming months (already down 2" on my waist and hips!).

Much inspiration drawn from here over the last couple days so I dug out my home made ring-light to do a self portrait.
I need to get out more. -

I swear, between Bankara and Zo's photos, I'm feeling an awesome urge to up my game in terms of how I take pictures of myself. Beautiful work, you guys.
But for now, here's a shot that was quickly taken while on a separate shoot today.

@Zo, if you don't mind the risk of frying electrical death then building yourself a ring light is surprisingly easy. I made an instructable when I made mine way back in the day.

The colour temp is definitely still very red even when you shoot on tungsten but for B&W it is perfect. I love the look of a ring light but what those things cost is criminal! This thing could be made better with higher powered bulbs and some diffusion but for what it is it works pretty well. It also doubles as a space heater. -

@oldhat: He doesn't so much hog the bed as wake me up sometime between 4 and 6 am. He does it very cutely, but that tends to result in me eating and that isn't good. So if he does that enough times in a row he doesn't get to sleep on my bed for a couple nights. And your kitteh is very adorable. Even if he does look a tad bit grumpy. -

Also, I look just like I had arrived home at 6:30am from a band gig, and that I had found out a few minutes ago that the fucking piece of shit OpenOffice.org had eaten a few hundred words of my novel.
