aww thank's everyone! I'm trying to commit to hooping everyday for a month straight (starting with today) in hopes of getting back into the habit of doing it regularly, so maybe I'll get some more vids in with different tricks.
@ZombieRasputin you'll be fine :) but I agree, we are a damn fine looking group at WhiteChapel
@dorkmuffin - An important thing I learned from you today: Mac & Cheese is AWESOME (and I totally concur).
@Argos - That's a great video, certainly better than some of the others I've seen try it, and worthy of some of the videos other hoopers that you've shared us via Twitter previously.
Okay, so this is me, plus daughter unit back on Christmas Day. I'm actually having a hard time finding a picture of myself that isn't horrible, and doesn't include my daughter lashed to my back.
@Argos My cat couldn't stop bobbing his head in time to the hoop. I even replayed it to see if it was a fluke, but the fucker was entranced. Apparently you are the hula hooping Pied Piper of Pussycats.
welp, it's been a while since I posted in this thread, but I got a haircut, so :)
note the little wolverinesque sideflip (which refuses to actually stay that way for very long). I can already get an S-curl when my fringe is a bit longer than this - I am seeking invulnerability through hairdressing.
It's started warming up. If next week's mornings get back to as chilly as it was at the beginning of the week, I'll get a shot in full-on warmth-ninja mode.
@Fauxhammer waist hooping, knee hooping, one legged hooping, shimmy (when I brought it up, it), there was a bit of shoulder hooping but it quickly turned into chest hooping once I took my arms out, reversals, and the vortex. Names from moves can vary but those are all terms recognized by other hoopers. My style of hooping was freeform, though. Some people will do belly dance style or hip hop or whatever but I know none of those, so I just go with it.
@Labyrinthe my hair did that flip too, the other day (though it was more Final Fantasy hair), but it didn't stay for very long
@oldhat, next time you're in NYC you're gonna have to get mac and "cheese" with me then. They do vegan at this place as well as gluten-free (the reason I was able to go there). I got gluten free mac with cheddar cheese, red onion, and burger. Nomnomnomnom. I am gonna have to work my way through the menu. Thankfully, they have a small portion that's reasonable so I may be able to keep my girlish figure.
