    Hello all!

My name is Steve Buell. For a spell in the mid-aughts, I self-published comics and graphic novels under the banner Lost in the Dark Press. I wrote and illustrated two graphic novels, Video and Fragile Prophet. I'm very slowly chipping away at a new graphic novel, Alien Echo, so hopefully one day that'll see the light of day. If anyone's interested, click on the link to the website, there's even one of my short films for your enjoyment.

My day gig involves producing and editing web content for a video game-centric company called Machinima. The job allows me to be silly and creative, from the comfort of my home office, wearing jammies. After years of soul-crushing jobs, I have an absolute appreciation for having a job I love.

I'm here because at heart, I'm a comic book junkie. There's not a lot out there on the shelves that piques my interest anymore, so I'm here to dig through the Whitechapel brains to discover new amazing hidden treasures, be it some obscure self-published comic or some crazy webcomic I've never heard of. Barring that, I think I'd just enjoy some decent civil conversation about pop culture, music or comics. I've been a longtime fan of Mr. Ellis' work, especially Transmet. We need more craziness like that in our world.

    So, hello!

And lastly, here's a pic of myself and my fiance, derping for the camera.

Hi, I'm Matt and I'm an alco....oh, wrong meeting. Writer and co-creator of Five Percent (in a store near you as soon as I can sell this pesky kidney to pay for the publishing), I'm new to the site, though I've been reading FA for a year or so. Thanks Warren for giving us comic junkies a decent place to congregate and for your dedication to the artform.

Hi. I'm Ray and I excel in social drinking and being overall useless. I used to draw quite often. Now I don't. I figured it was time to join a group. This one seemed to make the most sense.
    This what I am.Ray

    This is how I draw.

    Hi, I’m Alex.

I’m from Virginia Beach, 19 years young, and I recently fell off the wagon and got back into reading comic books. I just finished reading American Vampire, and re-reading Identity Crisis and Buffy Season 8 Vol. 1, and I can’t wait to sink my teeth into everything else this awesome medium has to offer.

At the moment I’m a freshman at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia. I only have roughly a half a semester left until my first year at college ends, and already the changes in my life have been daunting. There are more than a few stories to tell., which is exactly what I hope to improve: my storytelling.

For years I’ve been percolating hopes and aspirations of making a living as a writer, in as many mediums as I can use to hone my ability. I want to look back at my creative life and be satisfied with my variety as much as my success. I love writing, from grabbing hold of an idea to the nuts and bolts of wordplay, and I’m positive that I can work that muscle consistently on the forums of White Chapel.

On that note, I’ll be starting my own blog on the site soon, so be sure to take a look sometime. I’ll make sure it’s an interesting read.

Lastly, so you have a face to my name, here I am with my awesome girlfriend.

    girlfriend and I

Hi everyone, I'm Trai. Been reading Warren since someone loaned me their Transmet trades and it was all downhill from there. Used to blog on LJ but life sometimes got bigger than leisure so sometimes I just lurk.

    This is me

    Be seeing you

Well hello everybody! I'm Chanda. My boyfriend, AKA Captain Lou, introduced me to White Chapel a while ago, and I just decided that it was time to make an account. I'm not very talkative but I will post some things from time to time.
    A little about me.....
    I'm a mommy of 3 children (Ages 10, 7 & 4)
I went to school to become this "MASTER" Cosmetologist (Completed that in Sept. 0f 2010) and still haven't found a job...(HORRIBLE!) but thinking I may go BACK to school to be a Cosmetology teacher [[not quite sure yet]].)
    Just sittin outside

Hay Everyone. Here is an interesting and very much true story of how I got here! I am not a big comic book buff but I have participated to an extent in reading as much as I could financially afford to do since I was a little kid. I stumbled over Warren's work this month accidentally while researching references to 'Aleph' and 'The Aleph' in literature as there is a book being released later this year with that title by the Brazilian author Paulo Coelho. I went into my local comic book store to see if I could get a back dated issue of 'Swamp Thing' and the graphic novels 'Global Frequency' as a present for Coelho as I am meeting him this week in Istanbul for his yearly St. Joseph's Party. Anyway the comic book dude told me that Warren Ellis was going to be in the local UNI in Galway, Ireland giving a talk in 10 days time. Wow! Some strange, or not so strange, power seemed to be drawing me in! Unfortunately the issues of 'Global Frequency' did not arrive and but I did get to the UNI for the talk, managed to ask Warren a question (after beating a few trolls to death) and I got 'Crooked Little Vein' signed. It was really great to be there, but unfortunate I could not get 'Global Frequency' signed for the present :(

So anyway today I read FreakAngels from 1-127 over seven hours and I totally enjoyed it; almost hearing helicopters and rain at times as I looked at the wonderful artwork and words. Looking forward to reading 'Crooked Little Vein' later this week and anything else I can devour.

Hello, my name is Denver Brubaker and I am a cartoonist from Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. I am the creator of the Tales of a Checkered Man webcomic which you can read at I grew up on Silver Age Marvel reprints so much of my indulgent comics tastes tend to hearken back to Lee, Kirby, Ditko Thomas, Steranko, Romita Sr. and the like. At the time of this writing I am watching The Curse of Frankenstein while I tone and letter this week's comics. I'd be happy to let you buy me a drink if we were ever to meet. Cheers!

Been a while since I've done this. I'm Mike, I make video magic for this, and I have a webcomic here, though it might become something else in the near future. I look like this:

I live in Pittsburgh and work in a law firm's mail/copy room by day. I like ponies.

@SteadyUp - What a coincidence! I have a pony who might like you for dinner ;)

Hey everyone. My name is Jess. I'm a college student and English tutor living the dream in Ann Arbor, Mi. I devour comics during the slow hours of aforementioned tutoring position. I really dig this story. Despite being fairly new to the series, I have already caught up.

And now a pic of me:

    So, I'm Jon Straiit.
I have been lurking since 09, but it's probably about time to start talking.

I am in my 30's, have been reading comics since the early 90's, not a big superhero fan.
I work as a chef, write as an amateur, read like a pro.

I am an amateur brewer, about to start a microbrewery (400liters/batch about 105gal, all-grain) by the end of this year.

There will probably be some text coming from me sooner or later, might even be some ink.
