Frequent Contributor - Yes your designs for the Nethermen are grand! Why did you not want to do the regular book? The pay too low? And I haven't done anymore work on the Nethermen yet, so I'm not sure I have that job really or not.
Rooth - That is one gorgeous spiderman/venom illustration. Is there a reason why you are not doing covers for Marvel? Your work is amazing! -

@offtandiscord OMG!!! That is exactly the same as my old tennis racket, the first one I ever had. I loved it to bits and covered it in stickers with ponies on. I must have been about 8 or 9. I've still got it albeit warped and with no strings......
Is it me or have you all got up another notch in yr artistic endeavours? -

jim: It's lovely, but I can't tell what's going on. Is there more words, or is it just that his ship takes off without him and that's all? Either way, it's really quite well drawn and quirky. -

@frequentcontributer: It is just the ship taking off without him... Any thoughts on how I might make that clearer? Generally people seem to confused when I tell them that's it :)

Jim; would there be any sense in the story if you showed a panel with him more actively trying to get to the spaceship. As it stands, he's just passively watching it take off, then falling to his knees. If he was worried or surprised about it taking off, he would show it, yeah? Or is the joke that he doesn't really react to being left behind, kind of a Walter Mitty "Oh....darn" kind of guy?
I dig the drawing style, hope my 2 cents helps. -

kmellon, Paul R and Miranda- thanks guys :) It was fun. I haven't read any Spiderman in many years, but I'll pick up that new Venom stuff for fun I think. I dig the design, and I think Flash is a pretty good choice for a host.
Miranda- I have had tons of stuff published over the last 12 years, but most of it is in the educational/ESL sector. If you do my name as a search on Amazon or other international book sellers, you might see a list of a few dozen graphic novels that I've done for Scholastic and some others pop up, as well as some small press stuff for SoundAndVision publishing out of Toronto.. I have also illustrated for Warpstone magazine (a 1st Edition Warhammer FRPG fanzine) and a few sourcebooks for Shadowrun RPG. And soon, hopefully, you start to see bits of a graphic novel I illustrated last year for Rubicon Publishing called The Terminals (which was recently optioned for film). It's my proudest work, but nobody has seen it yet ;) -
Wrestled with this weeks R/R and decided that I lost and went with whatever idea I could salvage from the wreckage. Space Kachina it is, then. -

Lino Print (7.5" x 6" approx - click piccy for more info). Very much liking the new ink I'm using - the colour is great and the coverage is good (and although it's oil-based, everything can be cleaned up without solvents). -

@neil ford...nice frontiersman...kinda reminding me of The Proposition for some reason..must watch that film again.
@Sebfowler...nice sketchbook stuff. What do you use to ink? Is that watercolour pencils? Sweet. -
