Kevin Mellon, I love seeing stuff in progress, thanks for that. Show more! Anybody else dare to show work in progress?
Here's some characters from a book in progress written by Bristol native Eliot Witters. Not sure if it will be used or not, its got lots of errors, but I think I'm done with it nonetheless.
Man, the February Artist thread is incredible. Crazy good stuff! Love your nightmare's, Neil :)
I found an old set of (mostly corroded jars of) Windsor Newton Brilliant Designer Water Colours, mostly neons and mega brights. It has been a while since I painted in colour, and I wanted to see if some of the paints still worked (or were salvageable) so I did this little piece. Keep up the incredible work Whitechapel.
@fredg..yeah, I use a stylus for ipad sketches...too difficult otherwise. @neilford...creepy and androgynous..love it. @rooth...nice colours on Loki there. @Lazyfair...great facial expression there..It that brushwork?
After two years, I have recently wrapped up my duties for preproduction on the Disney XD show "The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes". These are a few portfolio samples from my stint on that series. Among these samples there are a bevy of Gamma Mutated S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents: www.thomasperkins.blogspot.com
Yep, that be brush. Pretty much all I use anymore. I find pens to be a bit boring now. I'm all about "dynamic line quality" now. Totally diggin shut in soccer mom, Doom. Is that all digital?
An illustration based on a tourettes tic by Tourettes Hero. She posts them on twitter and on touretteshero.com and they make good inspirations for cartoons.
@ amalgamated biscuit- give me some milk, a sack of onions and some sharpened dentures, I'll make that f--king cookie cry- always great stuff
Animation Work in progress, got 3D graphics artist Laurie Ronne helping me bring the drawings to life. Here's some more tests (the tests are short short so I looped them with some home made music on the score, listen at own risk)
I'm a HUGE Pratt fan! I have many a Corto in my sketchbook. I found Pratt through Paul Pope's work about four years ago, just grabbed on to it immediately. I'm working on a comic right now that is directly influenced by Corto, with some Hemingway for good measure.
@William Joseph Dunn - Hi man, yes, Corell painter mostly, a couple of scanned in watercolout textures too. Damn gorgeous background paintings BTW, must vist the site and see how you make them.
