    As it's the start of a month and a new week, what's everyone listening to now that the days are slowly starting to get longer?

    Been getting into Don Caballero thanks to a band we signed last year (these guys). Really digging it, this is the missing link between Slint and Tortoise for me.

    Listening to the Smiths and actually KNOWING that I'm listening to the Smiths for the first time....

    Also re-listening to some of my old Momus records, along with a guest song or two. I kind of miss that Japan obsessed weirdo.

    After spending much time with the free mp3s floating around the internet, have finally got Salem's debut album King Night. I imagine it taking up a lot of my listening time in the coming weeks.

    Other than that, lots of Male Bonding and Micachu + the Shapes. London still brings the noise.

    The dark winter tunes have settled in. I've had Demdike Stare - Tryptych on heavy rotation as well as the new Mount Fuji Doomjazz Corp mini-LP, Anthropomorphic.

    Also listening to the new Creep single on repeat (including the Deadboy remix):

    Yesterday was mostly Sibelius symphonies. Today seems like it might be a Coltrane, Davis, Mingusy sort of day. We'll see what happens.

    @allana Really into her at the moment. Just read this about another piece:
    Biogenesis, completed in 1974, actually combines the heartbeats of her son and her pregnant daughter, with the rhythms of her grandchild, then still in the womb. This "hymn to the perpetuation of life" was realized using an ordinary microphone and a stethoscope. The technique was primitive, "something absolutely not professional", but the result is stirringly corporeal.

    I feel somewhat lesser after reading the other comments, but I've been listening to the Cold War Kids new album somewhat religiously for the past few days.

    Edit: well, I was going to try to embed the song Royal Blue from youtube, but I can't for the life of me get it working.
