It's Friday, and we're back with more FREAKANGELS.

'Morning, Whitechapel. I am currently on week I-don't-even-fucking-know-anymore of the ohmygod-seriously-I-may-be-dying plague, oh and also I'm to pack up house and working at the same time. I'm pretty much either inhumanly awesome or completely insane. Warren would probably say a little of Column A, a little of Column B. Warren's never really wrong.

How's everyone else hanging in there?

Now that was a sweet little episode - some more background detail, a (seeming) resolution of the Sirkka/Jack situation, a new insult, and a sting at the end from Luke. Nice work!

I was hanging in and enjoying a day off work until I got a call saying that there was some work due today for a major client that I actually hadn't done. I think my co-workers have taken care of it, but there'll be hell to pay on Monday. Oh the joys of the working life - makes me wish the apocalypse would come and the worst I'd have to worry about would be Mudlarks.

Decent start to the week, some good work stuff, couple of interesting career movements. And then the plague hit the office (well, the norovirus anyway) so now I'm off sick along with about half of my colleagues. That virus is just plain *evil*.

I am awake entirely too late because of a good friend and my pre-order beta access to Fate of the World. I'm thinking of my next (third) attempt focusing around bioweapons.

I love Connor's expressions. I love Jack and Sirkka cracking up at the end. Thank you, all those who produce and deliver this, as always.

Aww, so many great little moments in that episode. And then Luke has to go and bring it all back to a big, scary question.

This week has been pretty ok, thanks -no bones to pick. Hope you feel better soon Ariana.

Interesting. Looking forward to seeing how things pan out outside during the Freakangels' introversion...

Been on holiday this week, not particularly productively. Gave myself a caffeine overdose kind of by accident, and spent yesterday just jittering horribly on the sofa. But have some fresh bread cooking and nice cheese, so today's cool.

Good morning. Thank you everybody for a new episode of beloved FREAKANGELS...

...but this one left me cringing. Gaaaahhh. Shudder. Yuck! Sorry.

    Yes, I am beyond fixing.

    I can't believe it's Friday again already.

Arkady's parents must have been from up North. She has a way with words.

Six out of seven of the adults that are part of my extended household got the plague, so, yes, insane, but it drags on for so goddamned long, it's get back to work or get on the waggon when the rag man comes around calling for corpses. Good luck, Ariana, and thanks.

Man. What ARE they gonna fuck up once they start cooking each other's heads? I'd ask Sirkka to fix half a dozen things about me if I had half a chance, but I can only hope she or Arkady or someone pioneers some way to keep the subject's hand on the throttle. Just a bit. Nobody, given a gift like theirs, would fail to fall victim to Mother Knows Best. Even caring deeply about all of the people she tinkers with, after a while, everyone would be philosophically alike.

Has the Vol 5 release date slipped? It still says January on the site but I see Amazon has it as March 8th, and I haven't see Paul or Warren commenting about signing the cover plates yet.

I think the word Wazzock should be used more often in relationship counselling.

Anyway back to my pit of despair with me I go, taking my headache with me.

Page three made me laugh. It made me laugh a lot.
And poor, poor Luke. Somebody kick him. Please.
I wonder how Alice is getting on with Mark's little presents?

My sympathy to all the sick and suffering of this parish, but especially to Flabyo. Just knowing that Norovirus is loose relatively nearby is rather disturbing and makes me think of Mr Spider Jerusalem dabbling in biological warfare.

Anybody who does not like and/or respect Arkady by now is a complete wazzock. Whatever it is.

Cocky kind of week: had wendnesday off, until my chief's secretary mailed me I had to perform eveningshift. Thursday they had already planned a morningshift for me, and tonight I have to do a nightshift. So this half week ended up to be 3 workingdays, 3 different shifts. (oh yes: since I also work weekends monday and tuesday were "my weekend". So wendnesday was ment to be my monday, if you know what I mean...)

I love it! Arkady is now the Whitechapel Shrink. In her own way, she always makes more sense than anyone else.

This week has been brutal, but my wedding anniversary is Sunday. Very exciting, 3 years married, 13 years together. Going to see the Rat City Roller Girls, our local Rollerderby group. Should be fun. Until the fun starts, I'm headed off to work.

    Have a great weekend, everyone!

    Arkady and... Jack?!

You are a cruel man, Warren Ellis.

I think Sirkka's expression in the last panel is just about perfect. It's actually kind of a big question Luke is asking, and they've all argued over it before to various degrees.

As for me, I've spent the week agonizing over applying to school for architecture. It's the most recent in a long line of wacky ideas, but it's the one I've been most rabid about throughout my life. It's one of those things that's been staring me in the face and I haven't even been paying attention to it. And I'd probably enjoy it quite a bit. (Quite a bit more than photography and writing, anyway. It's not that I don't like doing them, it's that I can guarantee making a living out of them would drive me insane.)

The only problem is the fact that the only accredited architecture school in the state is an hour and a half a way, there's no easy transportation to get there, and I sort of like hanging out with my wife and kids. Also it's expensive and six years of school plus three years of professional work before licensing. But goddamn it, I'm turning 30 this year. It's about fucking time to grow up.

    I signed them last summer...

    Brilliant. Happy.

The Arkady in my life would definitely say 'Wazzock' and once she is feeling better, I will broach the topic. She must say this. Yes.

Also, I like the steps to grown-up-hood-ness. Making big grown-up-like decisions is much easier when you've practiced making less global in nature ones.

My week has been odd, but good. I have new love for Valentine's Day and new love for the world and less love for people who need to control communities by defining what love is and how it ought to be expressed, and really, I'm okay with the less love part - compassion is not to be wasted on most of the twats.

And, my boss finally brought in the book-repair manual, so we'll sit down and he'll order me a basic set of tools and I will learn to do some of this while I am nervously waiting to hear from grad school and deciding how to plan my move.

Thanks to all for a brilliant episode.

We need more 1970s swears back. Anyone who disagrees is a wazzock. And a bennet.
