Freaky, just this Wednesday I had an idea for a story in which a child molester is forced to experience the memories of his victims as part of teaching him the error of his ways. Not that it hasn't been done before, of course. (And I don't think I'm going to do it.) Just a strange coincidence.
So is the static line still on? That's going to save some time which Alice will probably appreciate in the immediate future.
Thing about growing up: it's a process not an event.
The process is punctuated with a succession of embarrassing epiphanies of the form: 'Oh, *cringe* I thought *WHAT*? But I know better now!'
Hence our Heroes are having a *cringe* moment, but they're getting better now, and they'll redeem Luke so he'll be a model citizen, right after they've given him a bit of the receiving end...
At which point, I'm anticipating their next *cringe* moment...
Hmm! Why didn't Alice have this reaction when they flushed her? Different technique?
Oh Jack...proving again that he's not the brightest in the bunch. I guess only time will tell whether if, the world of FA, the inclination to dominate others and invade their privacy and self-determination can be overwritten so easily. I'm not clear on what instructions and information they're giving Luke along with making him completely forget what he's done wrong, but I would tend to assume that he would find some new way to rationalize forcing women. But I don't know....
I honestly can't figure out what Alice is thinking at the end there. Very disconcerting.
If I had that power, I'd make the former chairman of our capital city's development authority experience the inconveniences of every commuter and pedestrian in the city. Twenty meters' backtracking and two flights of stairs just to cross a street via elevated footbridge, because they couldn't just use stoplights and crosswalks - !@#(*^%*!@#$. Some people are on crutches, you know.
