"G4 is getting four original half-hour series of 12 episodes each (48 half-hours in all), all overseen by funnybook titan Warren Ellis (“The Authority,” “Planetary,” “Global Frequency,” “Ministry of Space,” “Red,” “Astonishing X-Men”). "
if that video embed didnt work try this link as I'm in a lecture theatre and she just started talking so no more time to mess around: http://www.aintitcool.com/node/48660
"Overseen" is a bit strong. I wrote rough outlines for all 48 episodes, that would then have been rewritten by the actual scripters. I doubt much of my work remains.
I saw both the Iron Man and Wolverine pilots and while I think the Wolverine one is the better of the two, so far. But there are some sheanigans going on with the plot so far, it seems.

Was "Cyclops is pretty. So very, very pretty." part of the character outline?
It was a minor thing in the latter part of the pilot that dealt with the main bad guy and Wolverine that just sent my inner nerd into a tantrum. It was a minor thing but it set me off a little bit.
I've watched a couple of the Iron Man and Wolverine episodes (the fan-made subtitled versions of the original japanese broadcasts are up on your local anime streaming websites) the Iron Man episodes seemed a bit tame, but I'm loving the Wolverine ones.
@Warren So basically you wrote the rough outlines and they rewrote your stuff then made it out like you were executive producer? D: That's sure nice of them, I think, maybe, maybenot? I'll keep my eye out for the show, it looks all shiny from the teaser trailer. I wish we got G4 where I live. :o
Once again, I really like Storm's character design. Its a nice departure from the '90s animated design that I grew up with, but it still feels like STORM. And Beast's double-breasted jacket is a fun touch.
Dunno how I feel about Armor. I think most of it is her very blank pose, but I wish she had a little more attitude to her design. Who knows, though, since this is just a lineup sheet, and we haven't seen Hisako in action yet.

Well, that was the job description. I was aware of that going in. I just think it's fair to note that the rough outlines were then rewritten and scripted by Madhouse's own writers, to an extent I'm unaware of but probably, you know, extensively. If any of the the serials are a success, it'll be down to those writers, not me.
