This isn't stating anything new but I like being reminded of the bleedin' obvious occasionally.

    Apocalyptic hyperbole leaves journalism speechless
As Japan was violently assaulted, Christchurch crumbled and Queensland drowned, how many times did you hear a journalist say;"there are no words to describe what we are seeing here".
Perhaps you heard; "I'm speechless. This just defies description".
The ashen-faced reporters are both wrong and right.
There most certainly are words to describe the current state of the world, and yet it is true they seem entirely inadequate.
That is because journalists and the media they work for have squandered our best words with decades of hyperbole.

    Webcam chat Surprise

Rather NSFW as there are breasts and porn ads around, but hey, it's still funny!

    Harland Miller’s Penguin Classics-Inspired Art
Cheeky painter Harland Miller creates irreverent reinterpretations of Penguin Classics. The paintings, many of which he compiled in a 2007 Rizzoli book, often prod at a deeper truth about the author or text, or just plain make fun

Yes. That new wonder woman is terrible. I feel like Carter's, which granted was no more than a one piece bathing suit, actually looked functuional. While looking at the new one's, just looks like she wandered away from the set of "Wonder Woman: The Latex Fetish Porno".

    Which speaking of

Heh, my blog post about our trip to Chernobyl is listed as one of the sources for the chart. There's quite an interesting influx of hits on my blog. A whole lot of .gov and .mil -addresses, and visitors from all around the world. I especially appreciated the hits from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, from governmental addresses in Syria and Saudi Arabia, a bunch of Chinese sites and certain addresses related to NSA :)

re: Rebecca Black - I actually feel a little bad for the girl. It's just a vanity record label and she had the misfortune to be the one lambasted all over the internet... you can go watch the production company's other videos, they're all over youtube and they're terrible.

Anyway, even if I do feel sorry for her, I can't help laughing my ass off at this:
