    @lampcommander - that metal Friday video (for some strange reason) was one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. And I'm pretty hard to disturb.

    if there is one movie trailer, that could describe my country's misty-eyed idealism, in the eighties.

    Hahhahaha, I tried to watch Megaforce this weekend, but it was too slow and I couldn't finish it. I did manage to stay awake for The Eliminators. Seriously, with the Mandroid and Koochie the ninja, how could you not stay awake?

    Victoria Jackson ( of SNL ) goes crazy over a gay kiss on "Glee."

    Also Duran Duran does a live stage show, as directed by the great David Lynch.

    Its on in about 15 minutes 1 hour, on my side of the world.

    EDIT: Keep trying to link it, and keep taking up a large white space. So, just enter this into your browser: http://www.youtube.com/duranduranvevo#p/u

    And on a side note, "Megaforce" is a especially awesome movie, when you're buzzed.

    @LBA. You're welcome.

    @Lemon Laser Betty - I saw Megaforce in the theater when it first came out - I was very young though. Thank you for that nostalgia trip

    Being on the wrong side of the pond, I have zero experience with Netflix (so far, at least. Didn't they just buy LoveFilm for future colonisation?) but a friend in the US loves it (for Downton Abbey. No comment from me in case they ever read this)

    Anyway, do those with access to Netflix think this is stands a snowball's?

    From this: Netflix in talks over political drama
    Netflix, the film and television subscription service, has taken a big step into territory dominated by broadcasters and pay-TV operators after entering exclusive talks to buy US rights to a new political series starring Kevin Spacey. Its bid could reach as high as $100m.

    To this: Another Netflix Content Idea: Saving Cancelled Cult Hits
    Each year, dozens of shows on network and cable television get cancelled. Most of these cancellations are for good reason. But every once in a while the hammer comes down on a show that’s considered to be a cult hit — or one that could turn out to be a real hit, if given more time. The problem, of course, is that these shows often don’t have the massive viewership numbers to sell a large amount of advertising against. But that model doesn’t apply to Netflix.
    While shows that are called “cult hits” are often thought of as mainstream flops, the reality is that they still have millions of people who watch them. And the “cult” aspect implies that a large percentage of those viewers are insanely loyal to the show. Again, that doesn’t mean much to the networks where more is better (for advertising), but for Netflix, if they could convert a significant percentage of those loyalists in to paying customers, it works.
