Kind humans do things like surprise me with Flickr for a year, or seek out work for me. I get to eat delicious things like tacos and gwumpkies and roast pork by the FUCKING POUND for very small amounts of money, and I can buy avocados that are cheap and not rotten. I have someone to watch Doctor Who with.

@trini_naenae - yessssss. I've taken a daring leap of faith into my future, thanks to the awesomeness of others.

@Rachæl Tyrell: I'm so happy for you.

My happy news is that my mom and I took Watson home from the vet and he is doing well. The vet nurses loved him and said he was a sweetheart (he totally is). Apparently he's even good with taking his medicine, which is quite amazing. I've never heard of a cat that actually puts up with that. My mom isn't thrilled about having to switch to prescription cat food but we're both very happy to have him back home.

Yesterday I went over to a friend's house and over a bottle and a half of wine and entirely too many cigarettes we gossiped, whined about stupid crap, ranted about the evils of the world and solved more than a few trenchant problems that we don't actually personally have. I crashed on the couch and while she was off at work I studied a huge chunk of Japanese grammar.

HP Haus, good for what ails me.

Finished my sculpture. Finished my film. Finished my beer. Happy now.

@Warren: But you love hating it, which makes it one of the good things that happened to you today.

I'm working with rigging/as a light tech on an alternative version of Othello. One week of rigging and fixing, one week of shows. Some hard work. Makes me happy. <3

Today I realized it's looking like I'm getting fucked out of getting paid for event work, so I need something to make me count my blessings...

Sunday: I did this shoot, which....I really needed. It was good to feel the creative juices flowing again.

Yesterday: Sent an e-mail that said things like "Not dealing with you for the rest of my life is something that would make me perfectly comfortable." and "Please do not respond to this and do not contact me ever again" for the first time ever. I've been wanting to say it to this person for close to a year or two now, so it was good to get it out.

Today: Boss declared it a shit day and had me run to grab two bottles of wine and some beer. Although it's 9:30 and I'm still at the office, I'm quite potted and playing Pokemon Black, a game I recently downloaded and have become addicted to.

Speaking of, here is a drawing of me with my Munna Pokemon named DreamFetus. Drawn by the wonderful Dale O'Flaherty, who read some of my Pokemon rants on twitter.

first rehearsal for a cabaret I'm stage managing. Just call me the kitten wrangler. It's getting in the way of a lot of stuff I thought I would be doing this month and forcing me to spend a lot of time and money on driving but, you know what? I fucking love theatre. Fu.Cking.Love.This.Shit. Good thing I have a degree in it...}:P

The people in it are crazy and seriously talented and just want to entertain and show off and say what they have to say. It's gonna be good. And I'm going to get all the shit moving. Love it.

Also my microphone arrived today and a much anticipated book on voice acting. I don't have time to deal with either just yet, but I will tomorrow. And it will be awesome.

    @trini - thank you.

Someone who does spoken word told me I should do spoken word.

When I realised I had no cash on me, a man in a subway bodega gave me my snacks for free and told me to just bring the money to him later in the week.

    Emails of appreciation from clients.

    Antibiotics.

Finally watching Matt Smith Doctor Who, and having someone to watch it with.

@oldhat I told a guy to never contact me again once, felt amazing (though this guy was a creeper and not someone I was ever close to, so different situation). Unfortunately the guy didn't quite understand the message D:

@Rachael: hooray! So glad to hear things are going better for you!

Today I met my friend's adorable new puppy! :D

    Speaking of dogs,

It happened a while ago, but I fell out of my parents' attic (which then included a lovely trip to the hospital, a drug reaction, and getting a needle shot in the butt, by a very attractive nurse. Thank you God of Irony), and then a few days hurting around the house.

Then one day, my dog comes and sits next to me. As if to say,"Life sucks, but I like you anyway." This is why dogs are better people, than actual people.

What is it with the hot nurse & the butt injections?
  7.  (9607.33)
Had a bad reaction to the pain drugs, from the fall. So got a butt injection, to counteract the pain drugs. Thinking,"Great....I get to show the very attractive nurse, my hairy, cellulite ridden butt. The pinnacle of sexiness in my body."
  8.  (9607.34)
No, I understand that... I guess what I mean to say is, I have also gotten more than one painkiller or tetanus shot in my rear end as well, and I swear, each time it was by an extremely attractive nurse. Either the medical profession attracts lots of hotties, or someone is sending the hot ones to look at our bums and inject things into them.

@Argos I hate when they don't get the message. But on another note: ADORABLE PUPPY!

Today I have a six pack of this:

Netherworld Cascadian Dark Ale. A lovely beer from a Craft Brewery in Barrie (about an hour's drive from Toronto) called Flying Monkey Craft Brewery. Essentially it's a porter-style recipe that's been dry-hopped to perfection with, you guessed it, Cascade hops. Incredibly bitter, very relaxing...delicious.

Yeah, in case you all didn't know, I really like beer.

Broke out of my rut to go to a convention. Won $6.00 in an Indian casino along the way.

The monorail in far-away Seattle fascinated me when I was a little science nerd growing up in the Space Age. The reality is kind of . . . well, not exactly sad, but pedestrian:
    Monorail!
Future not what it used to be, Mon!

Late night last night, going into the wee hours this morning with wine, great rum & sake and brilliant friends.

Fantastic time at my voice class today. My teacher is crazy and that's kinda what makes her so good. I can just roll with it, find my strengths and build on them. Brill...

Getting more paperwork about the premises I will be opening Niche Comics in.

More Importantly I have the paperwork for setting up an account with Diamond Comics distro.

Note: Can I do a thread asking for advice on running a comic shop?
