But it's worth noting that Samsung's netbook keyboards have some issues - I played around with an N110, which had a great keyboard, and then, mug that I am, bought an N120. Which has a noticable fuckup - there's a useless thing of plastic where the "¬`¦" key should be, so that's moved down to right next to the space bar, displacing the Function key to share with the Open Menu key (some sort of contextual deal where it opens a menu when there's a menu, and acts like Fn if there isn't).

It does work, but it just seems like a mess. You mentioned using Monster Turbine earplugs with your IPhone. Does using high quality earbuds make a significant difference when used with your IPhone? I have a good quality headphones with my home system but have been using some basic earbuds (skull candy) with my IPhone. Do you fine using the high quality earbuds makes a significant difference for audio quality?

Most of the music I listen to streams from the SiriusXM app, usually over a 3 G connection.

It does make a difference. Apple mp3 playback is notoriously a bit shit, but, yes, you'll notice a difference with a decent pair of buds.

Though, on reflection? I dunno how much difference you'll notice if streaming radio over 3G. I'm also a bibliophile who loves his KIndle, although I've yet to read a book on it. Mostly use it for reading NYT and Instapaper. I like how it turns the Internet into quiet, soft text. Makes the Internet paper, or close to it. This is also the reason I hesitate to get a tablet, as it still would be a backlit LCD. Although the augmented reality possibilities are exciting. Any desire for an ipad or other tablet yourself?

I've settled on TweetDeck after trying several different options. Now that I've dug into it, I've come to like a lot of its functions.
