Some bloody good tunes on this thread!

But there's, er, something missing, the harder edge, the hard brutal
unfortunate themes of life.I love J Dilla to Def, same with Primo.
But let's put a cat among the pigeons a little...

This one's dedicated to all those escaping persecution....

    As the song goes....

"The man's got a perfect system. An Economic Prison..
you gotta get gotta get out...(why?)
Because the field's where you die..."

    hit the gates....

    Album: O.G
    Hip Hop Music Region:
    West Coast Hip Hop

Ice T - "Escape From the killing Fields..."[1991]

    Album: O.G
    Hip Hop Music Region:
    West Coast Hip Hop

    Ice T - Mind Over Matter"[1991]

    Album: Power
    Hip Hop Music Region:
    West Coast Hip Hop

    Ice T - "Power"[1988]

Love the honesty in the next song. Also rapped in that southern drawl
we talked about in the other thread...

    @ 2:29:

    "We behind !!!....
    everybody's talking about getting money...
I got millions! And im still broke!
Cause that aint no $%^!! money...! "

    Dirty South

The Rub have a series of mixes called "History of Hip Hop". There is a mix for each year from 1979 through the golden era all the way to 2009!

    They're all here!

There's a new Jean Grae mixtape called Cookies or Comas and it's brilliant.

Also, everyone's probably already got it but the Wugazi mash-up dropped and I love it.

  2.  (9632.4)

Public Enemy - Can't Truss It

Tribe Called Quest - Find a Way

    Dr. Octagon - Blue Flowers

Babbletron - Space Tech Banana Clip

Heard this song last night. Been a while, Kool Moe Dee!

And also heard this group last night...

I see a couple other folks posted some People Under the Stairs. My personal favorite track of theirs is:

    Acid Raindrops

ETA: Ok, got sucked in. Here are a couple more.

    Some sick Nova Scotian Rap:

    Pants on Fire-Buck 65

And this one is admittedly silly, but I figure some folks in the target demographic may get a kick out of it:

    Breakfast Club

And a little more (very clever) silliness:

    Holy Guacamole

Some damn fine beats on here, but, not seeing anyone rep the UK, so I thought I'd share these:

    Rodney P - Trouble

    Taskforce - Battlecats

    The Brotherhood - Dungeon Town

Sorry to double up but I meant to zap this one through when this thread first started. Clams Casino "I'm God" (it's a Lil B track but I'm not too taken with the based god) -

Wait, did anyone post Shabazz Palaces yet? Maybe in the best music of the year so far, but not here:

I picked up the Madlib / Frank Nitt - Nittyville, aka Madlib Medicine Show Volume 9, which is OF COURSE awesome because it's Madlib. Here's the one where he drops in Davros and the Daleks:

And looking forward to the new Spank Rock, hmm, that doesn't want to embed here.

Most of my go to spitters and spinners are already on the list, so theres a touch of the electronics and dub in these.

i've been diggin' these guys. more laid back tunes than most, but decent beats and killer raw lyrics.

the lyrics get really twisted towards the end of it.
  7.  (9632.17)
Aesop Rock you already mentioned, which was my last great find.

I'm a fan of Spose, myself

This is my first post, may I just say this thread is immense.
An Irish rapper, very influenced by Odd Future but that isn't really a bad thing

  8.  (9632.19)
    How about a thread resurrection?

Here's some audio of Kanye West and Mos Def freestyling live with the ah-MAZING jazz pianist Robert Glasper. They popped in to catch the show and came up to jam. What I would have done to be there and see that...

Kriswontwo and Per Vers - War is Over.

    Issugi, out of Tokyo.

This one is making the rounds. Trap rap goon Gunplay is the guy on the chorus and third verse. Outshines Lamar, Imo.
