It's Friday, and whatever else is going on, hopefully you can take a moment to enjoy FREAKANGELS.

Morning, Whitechapel. I've got people in Hawaii I'm keeping an eye out for (they aren't in an evac zone), and people in Japan that've already checked in (safe). I hope everyone here, and everyone here's friends/families anywhere in the quake/tsunami zones, is safe. For some lighter news, how was everyone's week?

My week was awesome, as always.

Hope everyone is safe from bad weather.

The picture of Alice's house got to me. And Luke with a blood halo and psychic "wings." Thank you for making images like nothing I've never seen before.

Halo of blood, halo of blood. Da-da da-da da-da-da-daa, halo of blood. "Sorry, we're busy." Good God, whut are they gonna have to do to Mark?
    Luke was 'just' a rapist.

This week was very, very trying. But I have survived it and have a 3 day weekend ahead until I throw myself once more into the fray.

Alice, you rock. Finding strength from a place of hurt and vulnerability is an amazing thing.

Alice's middle names should be "Taking Care of Business".

    Good morning.

Hope friends, family, and residents in Japan and Hawaii and West Coast are okay. Jokes about Gojira are being officially frowned upon this am. Thanks for a lovely episode.

Good afternoon from London. That last panel is stunning.

Mother Nature is frightening me again today. I hope casualties as are low as can possibly be...

    Good afternoon.
This week has been one huge mindfuck. I don't know how things will go from here.
Fortunately 3/4 friends in Tokyo & Sapporo are all right, the 4th hasn't replied yet but he's in Tokyo so am assuming he's fine. One has to walk home as the trains have stopped running and it will take him 3 hours.
    Take care everyone.

Haven't heard from family/friends in Hawaii, hoping all are well. Feeling a bit familiar about all this, remember learning about earthquake storms, I think they are called - the phenomenon of earthquakes happening over a period of about 60 to 75 years when pressure builds up along major fault lines and has to be released. Must learn what directions those plates are traveling. Also very pleased that what technology has been put in place to ensure physical safety seems to be working in Japan.

I am Awake! and yesterday bought tickets to the show of a guy that I've known since I was 6 and haven't seen in 20 years or more.

And Freakangels proves that Alice is win, and level-headed and very (sadly) good at compartmentalizing when in need.

Also - brilliant image on the last page.
    Brilliant.

Have we heard from all our Pacific WC'ers? Best wishes to all!

I've just seen that Panel and also have to agree with all the other things happening, it is rather a subtle thing. Looks bloody painful though...

Afternoon there. I'm laid at home, feeling unwell and a little sorry for myself. A good episode this week. Luckily don't have any friends on the pacific rim.

Alice definitely is what you call in life a "Do-er", and that's what the Freakangels need. when they are not putting psychic razors through each other minds....

Alice: she will be in for a little surprise if she finds out she can't kill Mark. Or can she?

The stream of piss... I never saw the still wet stain of piss being yellow: in the beginning it only shows as a wet, dark section of cloth, nothing more. The yellow only may appear when it dries up. If you don't believe me: just pee in your pants and check it out. ;-)
Their modus operandi is... not very pleasant though, with all that blood splatting around, I don't think Luke enjoys this very much. Suits him good though, he did act wrongly. And it makes me wonder how they're going to deal with Mark, and what that will be like...

My week was a nightweek, so: being active by night and stumble like a zombie by day. The news of Japan only reached me this afternoon, I hope the damage (both in human toll as in material damage) will somehow not be as bad as one can expect from disasters like this...

This week as always, fighting with the idiocy of bureaucracy and trying to make sense of the whole rigmarole. Upload, explore musty closets and wonder why public institutions put complete morons in charge of programming their confounded (and confusing) sites.

I feel much like Alice in this episode. Go, Alice!
Poor Luke, I hope they find something more worthy doing than torturing him...

Go Alice! I like that we're seeing a bit more of her now. Some lovely artwork!

I missed the stream of piss, but went back to look!

My week was supposed to start last night but go derailed as all I could do was watch footage of a tsunami taking out Sendai and hold panic attacks at bay. I even took to texting one of my Japanese classmates (language - the dude is white american) because I hated dealing with it alone. Still really unsettled, though the few people I know over there have checked in and are fine. At this point, except for the aftershocks that will continue for a while, the event is largely over, now to keep people from suffering during rescue & recovery.

i've found myself suddenly incredibly busy...sort of. My nights and weekends are completely gone as I have two classes (Japanese & voice) and have taken on stage managing a cabaret. Weekdays I'm free but that's my time to administer the play via email & Google docs, study Japanese, set up my new microphone and learn how to use Audacity and practice reading out loud and scouring ad copy for my voice class. At the very least it keeps me from noticing how poor I am....

FA was a little bit of a vacation from it all, but unfortunately due to the above stress a little bit out of tempo for me. It was interesting looking it over and then feeling lost when the coloration of the trees seemed very odd, as if through a haze. I'm guessing that's what the world looked like to a mind-controlled Alice. She's a good girl, and if I can't quite get her Action Jackson attitude, she does get it done. But I still really like Miki.

Masterful. In every way: from the operatic play of expressions upon Alice's face; to the brief and subtle time-slip which reveals a Proustian nugget of her past; and culminating (via stealthy sleight-of-story) in the devastating image of Luke, crucified for (and by) his own sins, sanctified, anointed with, and baptized in a cocktail of his own sundry bodily fluids, borne aloft in psychic clouds of judgement. Bravo, gentlemen. Episode 127: beautiful; powerful; masterful.

Oh, and apparently Luke dresses right. Someone make a note of it, in case we need to find him a new tailor.

(P.S.: That's not a house where younger Alice inhabits the entranceway to despair. The crumbling sign indicates a business ...restaurant? motel? Can you help an ignorant Yank out? Red block letters on white squares... L __ T T ___ -?- _ _ U S E. And a fallen I. Paging Vanna White! )

Presumably the blood halo comes from the classic psychic nosebleed.

Thanks for the small escape from today's happenings.

I was going to go to sleep until I caught wind of the quake pretty much while it was happening, since a friend who lives in north-eastern Japan was tweeting about it. Then there pretty much wasn't anything i could do to get to sleep. I caught footage from NHK via UStream for a while, then switched to the BBC's coverage. It's been a stressful day and I've gotten a bit irritable hearing of small petty dramas and non-news items on news sites in light of this tragedy.

I was relieved to find that all of the folks i knew were over there are safe, but dread to think of the long road ahead of them.
