    The thread just got a nice mention in Blair Butler's FRESH INK weekly video over at Comics Alliance.

    My hat's off to spedwig and bifco, for the best art while still following the rules (remember, you have no idea of what the story is, so IMHO any hint as to what the astros look like is right out). Either cover would catch my eye and get me to look at the issue.

    Honorable mention to Xiao Mao, who didn't quite follow the rules but came up with a piece that really caught my eye. And to Sizer, for the same.

    And to Neila, for Sharkpony.

    Thanks SCS for the kind word but I think each artist has their place here. Their art clearly shows what they got.
    The one for me I like a lot is Oxbrow but mthemordant it's good too, Valente the more realistic I think and Paul Sizer so clean whaouuu!! Very good artists !
    I'm learning a lot here. It's very nice.

    SCS, which rule did I break? I've never done this before >.>

    I think he's referring to the fact that we have clear shots of the astronauts rather than hazy images of them, but honestly, some of the best ones in this thread all "broke the rule", so you're in very very good company.

    Actually, the biggest rule to obey on REMAKE/REMODEL is to not write too big of an explanation for the piece you've submitted, as that will be seen as a "pen portrait", rather than letting the artwork speak for itself. What you wrote was fine, but probably not much more than that.

    You're still in my top 5 for this week's entries, so please do come back and show more art! We need as many talented people as can get here to keep all those other "legitimate" art sites afraid of us. : )

    Thanks for the props, @SCS...

    @paul sizer - co-sign.

    The biggest rule i have to grapple with is the "no photo-manipulation 'art'"... as i work a lot w/ digital collage... so, though i feel that it's a valid solution and one I'd spend hours creating (not the 5 mins mr. ellis suggests), i wouldn't want to risk having the thread shut down... so, it forces me to work in ways that I don't generally... which is good, I guess.

    Sign me up for more Sharkpony! I nearly busted a gut when I saw that.

    And yes, Xiao, I'd love to see more of your work here, and I'm enjoying your 14nights comic that you've linked in your profile. :)

    This was my first time entering too, I hope my description wasn't too much of a pen portrait. I really just wanted to write "Sharkpony" in the post somewhere. XD I'm glad so many people seem to like Sharkpony, I was worried it was too weird an idea and I'd get banned somehow. D:
