All sorts of going-ons are happening at The Hideout Bar & Grill from Hero Happy Hour. The bar is under new co-management, super villains are showing up to sing karaoke, and The Sheen is hanging out with Double-Shot & Chaser.
I do a little webcomic called Interesting Papers to be Written :) http://paperstobewritten.wordpress.com/ Here's a portion of a recent comic I did. Hope you enjoy and visit soon!
grateful for these kinds of threads. funny that my webhost crashed today. BUT. it will be back. so, for when it is:
Godsend is a bit more than halfway through chapter 2 now. it's set in an ancient alternative middle east where magic is real, but not guaranteed, and follows a small, desperate group as they attempt to set right a prophecy gone horribly awry.
Cheers for this venue to share! I do a *daily* comic called (surprise) QuickDraw, which I'll simply describe as 'truth in advertising'.
www.QuickDraw.Me varies wildly in quality, subject matter, style and content. What I CAN deliver is a new comic every day. All you pro cartoonists? See if you can try to keep up. ;)
Free PDF/CBR/CBZ/etc of my first month, 'What You Missed' in the Downloads section. Enjoy!
Supernormal Step is a comic about a girl who was pulled into another dimension by two drifters who didn't know what they were doing. Now she is on a quest to get back to her own world, but questioning everything along the way. Ancient beasts, political struggles, faceless security forces, and finding a good building to squat in are all daily problems for her now, and everyone is taking notice of her. Is she going to make it home? In the end maybe thats the wrong question to ask...
I do a weekly webcomic called WORLD OF HURT, which I bill as "The Internet's #1 Blaxploitation Webcomic." WORLD OF HURT follows the adventures of Isaiah "Pastor" Hurt, a fashionable, streetwise fixer who offers his services in exchange for two favors to be named later.
WORLD OF HURT is inspired by both the classic b&w comic strips of the '50s and '60s, such as Peter O'Donnell's Modesty Blaise and Alex Raymond's Rip Kirby, as well as the Black action movies of the 1970s. As such, I treat the source material respectfully and seriously as an urban crime drama, instead of satirically.
The first storyline The Thrill-Seekers earned three Glyph Comic Awards in 2010 and also very kind words from Mr. Ellis himself. Presently, I am in the midst of the second storyline, The Black Fist, which chould best be described using the elevator pitch, "John Shaft vs. Charles Manson."
Also, this past week I began a Kickstarter account to raise the capital to self-publish a hardcover collection of The Thrill-Seekers. If you have the opportunity, please stop by to check it out, if nothing else for the promotional video featuring the theme song created exclusively for WORLD OF HURT by C.E. Garcia of The Black Dynamite Sound Orchestra. Thanks!
For my part, I write, draw and crudely mash html together to make Audit, the website for which is here
It's a cartoonish action comedy set in a world swollen with representatives of every element of popular fiction and rapidly speeding towards inevitable collapse. That is, unless the skilled operatives of the organisation known only as Black Panel can stem the tide.
It updates as and when I can get the pages done between shifts at a full-time job.
My webcomic is named ODESSA, and it is based on the premise "What if the Nazis won WWII and what if Americans helped them do it?" "First Page of Odessa"
Rival Angels is the story about four girls who battle for survival in the ring of women's wrestling, only for them to discover that surviving their battles with each other outside the ring is a completely different matter. Rival Angels updates every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and has never, EVAR missed an update.
Hi all :) I do a weekly webcomic, updated on Thursdays, called "Life with Death" - LifeWithDeath.com It's about the Grim Reaper and his family, but mostly his soon-to-be 18 year old daughter, Kim Reaper, who is to become the next Angel of Death - much to her dismay. I've been doing it for a year now, and it's gone through a lot of changes as I'm constantly learning and trying to get better. It's definitely experimental. The comic was in color for a while but it took so much time to do, that I had to go back to B&W.
The first page features Kim's mother, Lucy, daughter of Satan; Satan himself and Satan's ex-wife Mabel.
The second page features Kim and her best friend Lilith, with her pet snake Apple.
Thank you once again for this thread Warren! I create several webcomics. Most of them can be seen at Velvet Rasputin. This month, I'd like to showcase Rasputin Catamite:
Set during the late 80's in Siberia, the current storyline focuses on the lives of a jock, a punk, a cutter and a psychopathic DJ. To read the whole thing from the beginning, click here.
Hello everyone, My name is Julian Lytle and I do a webcomic called ANTS. It's a comic about 4 ants, that are human sized and talk about current events and pop culture. Also they go on adventures. Right now they are in the middle of a time travel vacation that has gone bad. Ants updates on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Here's another one I like. The site just went up and they are going twice per week. But I already have a loooooot of them done and loaded into the site, which will roll out over time. Believe me when I tell you that they improve a lot and quickly. These are both out already, tho:
I hope you'll bounce over and check the site out. In May, TV's second friend will appear: John Maynard Keynes.
Take one CEO who happens to be a werewolf. Give him dreams of the future where he turns evil and kills everything and everyone he loves. Add one gun-toting fashionista secretary with a crush, and a generous dose of loyalty. Throw in a monster invasion to solve and you get WoBG.
