I hope Warren doesn't mind me pimping a little here.
I started up a new website recently in support of creator-owned comics called Comics Vox: http://www.comicsvox.com. The basic idea behind it is to highlight new creator-owned works each week. Our tagline is "Try something new". Out of all the books that are released each week, the hardest sell can often be the new stories that no one really knows much about, whether it's a new series or graphic novel, so that's what we're wanting to focus on.
Each week we list those kinds of comics and post a preview to each of them, if available. We're going to expand to include reviews and interviews and features on small press, things like that. Last week we had a Kickstarter feature. This week we've posted a competition where someone can win a pile of (awesome) #1 comics. Anyway, that's all. Constructive criticism is welcomed!
Wow, I was away from this place for a while. Thank you so much for the sticky!
People have been real supportive so far. We've got a reasonable amount of self-published/small press books to review as well as books from bigger publishers so they should be appearing on the site in the next few weeks. I'm really excited about it and it's great to know some people find it useful.
Cool, I'm probably going to be closing that up by Monday at the latest though. I got way more people interested than I expected. Support has been great! :)
