    Comics I'm getting this week:
    Scarlet #5 -- Yeah, so apparently my shop had to re-order #4 last week so I was all excited that a new one was coming out... not realizing it was a re-order. But now I get to be excited about it again this week! But for real this time!
    Terry Moore's Echo #29-- Holy Crap! The last few issues have been amazing! Only one issue left after this one! IT's been a great ride.

    Trade I'm getting this week:
    Batman and Robin: Batman Reborn TP -- About freaking time this came out in paperback! I very rarely buy the hardcovers of things, I didn't think they'd wait so long to print Morrison's Batman stuff in paperback.

    two big ass comics! CAPTAIN AMERICA and JIMMY OLSEN! i normally dont read cap, but with a creator roster like that i really cant say no to a 100 page comic.

    ACTION (just had the sad realization i will probably drop this after next month. cornell writing villains? yes. superman vs doomsday for the 10000th time? no.)

    Only had time to read a few things, but my big pleasant surprise was Fish Police. Admitted, it's just the first graphic novel, which has been endlessly reprinted in the 80s/90s, but it's of the original art so not missing the giant chunks of those collections. Plus they intend to reprint the complete story over however many graphic novels (6, maybe?) it takes, which will be nice due to them never having been seen outside of comics before.

    I need to pick up Jimmy Olsen, I hear nothing but good about it. I did manage to get Scarlett, Kick Ass II, Jack of Fables (finally over), and Incongnito. Good week, all told.

    Anyone who picked up Butcher Baker, impressions?

    I bought the Captain America issue and read it. I get that it was intended as an introduction/celebration, but I found the stories to be needlessly...introductory... in many cases. I guess I would recommend this to people who might be interested in the upcoming film, but not people such as myself who have previously read any Captain America story.

    Bonus: Union Jack is in this issue :-)

    I read the new issue of Scarlet. I feel that this is Bendis working to the best of his strengths. This comic scratches an itch that I haven't felt since PREACHER. It might be too early for such bold talk, but I do feel strongly about this title so far. I am trying to get away from making bold pronouncements!

    I bought Jimmy Olsen, but I was exhausted after reading all of Captain America and I'll probably read it tomorrow morning with a fresh mind and some fresh coffee.

    Caligula was really good, tho the period language kinda puts a break on Lapham's brilliant first-person narrative skillz. Great cliffhanger page as well. Recommended.
