This issue, I think, is a lot of fun. #1 is an exorcism story, and it owes a lot to post-Exorcist horror movies. In #2 we get to go back and play with folklore instead. Changelings aren't something that get s whole lot of press these days, but they're a pretty scary idea — monsters who come in the night and steal your baby, and leave something in its place. Here's a breakdown of the issues we've announced so far, which I hope clears things up.

	Witch Doctor #0 A 16-page vampire story, reworked from Witch Doctor: First Incision (our self-published debut back in 2008). Sold in color as a flipbook with WALKING DEAD #85; also sold as a B&W ashcan at conventions, and sent to comics retailers as a preview for the series. It's not going to be reprinted in the mini, and may or may not be collected in the trade.
	Witch Doctor #1 (of 4) "Meet Vincent Morrow, a doctor looking for a vaccine… for the apocalypse! In this stand-alone first issue, a family needs Dr. Morrow’s help with their son’s illness: Demonic possession. I'm hearing that the issue is already sold out through Diamond, so if you want a copy, better get it before your local comic store sells out! And if you're planning on picking up Witch Doctor #1 or the whole miniseries, please do yourself a favor and ask your store to preorder it. That way, a copy gets printed, shipped to your store, and held just for you, and you don't risk the issue selling out before you get one.

@Warped Savant — I've still only heard from one other person reporting the 'boils,' but I'm definitely curious how common they were. My guess is that the paper probably got oversaturated with the ink — it's a very ink-heavy book! And I'm glad you noticed the use of the umbrella at the beginning; in retrospect, I think I should've drawn more attention to that bit.

Slight tangent- it's really easy in a lot of comics to just kind of scan the art and only pay attention to the words, because everything is explained so thoroughly. At which point it becomes less "comics" and more "illustrated story". I wanted to show you guys part of the issue, because I think it's some of our best stuff yet. I'm really happy with how #3 and #4 came out. Please note though, that some of the dialogue and one of the panels have been redacted in the preview. WD #4 presented kind of a poser when it came to releasing a preview, because there's literally no four consecutive pages in the issue that don't spoil *something* big. So this is how we decided to get around that.
