Also, judging by my comp copies at least, it looks like they fixed the problem that was causing the "boils" on issue #1. So, yay!
And if you missed #1, the 2nd printing goes on sale next week. It's also available through ComiXology. Also also, #1 was stand alone, and isn't required reading for issue #2.
Haven't we all shaken a few evil babies in our time? (ONLY THE EVIL ONES. NEVER SHAKE A BABY IF YOU ARE IN DOUBT!!! In fact, scratch that, NEVER SHAKE A BABY!!! EVEN THE EVIL ONES!)
Man, that baby is just plain disturbing. I'm going to see my newborn niece tomorrow, so I really couldn't have read this at a worse time ... or COULD I?
Great stuff yet again, and it was nice to see some of the characters from the Golem episode come back.
Hell, I'm too scared to even HOLD a newborn - I'm convinced that if I so much as breathe the wrong way, they're going to explode or something! I'm happy to report that if it is a glamour though, it's one that makes her appear perfectly content to sleep most of the day, occaisionaly waking to squint at the world quizically :)
Hey folks! Been a while since I posted an update — but Witch Doctor #4 (of 4!!) comes out next Wednesday (November 2)! It's strange — it feels like we barely started, but it also feels like we've been working on this forever.
I wanted to show you guys part of the issue, because I think it's some of our best stuff yet. I'm really happy with how #3 and #4 came out. Please note though, that some of the dialogue and one of the panels have been redacted in the preview. WD #4 presented kind of a poser when it came to releasing a preview, because there's literally no four consecutive pages in the issue that don't spoil *something* big. So this is how we decided to get around that.
Witch Doctor #4 (of 4), on sale November 2, 2011 from Skybound Entertainment/Image Comics.
It's Dr. Morrow's toughest challenge yet: a magical malpractice hearing! Mystics Without Borders wants answers. Why did the case of the "Patient from the Black Lagoon" go so wrong? What's the biological secret of the Deep Ones, and their connection to the 'Great Old Infections'? And how do you fight an epidemic that's turning people into fish-people? Find out, in the finale of the debut miniseries from Robert Kirkman's Skybound Originals line! "Witch Doctor has the potential to be the next great horror story in the comic industry." – Bloody Disgusting
$2.99, 32 pages, full color. Diamond order code JUL110555.
If you haven't heard, this isn't the end for us. We've got a one-shot, Witch Doctor: The Resuscitation, coming out in December (along with Witch Doctor Vol. 1: Under the Knife TP, which I'm totally stoked for!), and we'll be following it with a new miniseries in the first half of 2012. Here's the cover for The Resuscitation.
Again, I really appreciate the support we've gotten from you guys over the years!
Woohooo! By far, WD stands head and shoulders above pretty much everything I have read this year. You chaps have done an excellent job! Can't wait for issue 4! Are you guys looking for pinups for the TP, by any chance? Because, *ahem*, I know a guy who'd love to help you out with that...
I fucking LOVE this comic sooo much. Here's a little review I put up to help spread the word, cuz the word does need to be spread!!! http://www.chud.com/69000/witch-doctor/
This series has been an absolute blast so far - very much looking forward to issue four, The Resuscitation, the new miniseries and whatever comes after that!
@Rooth, we don't have much room in the trade, but I want to suggest to Lukas that we start doing pin-ups in the back of future issues. If we do, I'll keep you in mind!
@Shawn, thank you for doing that article! (I'd actually seen it already, but didn't know you were a Whitechapeler.)
@Brandon - Just wanted to say; picked it up, read it, loved it, as always. So stoked you guys are going to be continuing this for at least another mini-series (& one-shot).
