Maybe that video is just not available in France, for some reason ? All I get is a message saying "The video you requested is not available. If you recently uploaded videos, you might have to wait a few minutes while they are being processed" (except it's in French).
Was anybody from Not-America able to watch it ?
Damn, it's bad enough that we don't get Hulu or Netflix...
I've been in a lot of the painted Palaeolithic caves (and other rock art sites) and it is a truly remarkable experience (I wasn't really expecting the visceral impact of it all). Granted recreations aren't the same kind of thing (I've been to the Lascaux one) but I understand why you can't visit them all. Ever since Chauvet was announced I wanted to see it but knew it'd almost be impossible (although I did try and work out ways I could wangle a visit) and this sounds like the next best thing, so I'm going to have to see this in the cinema. Can't wait.
For SF Bay Area-based Whitechapelers, the film is showing as part of the upcoming SF International Film Festival in late April/early May. After that, it'll get a commercial release, date unknown.
For UK-based Whitechapelers, the New Statesman website also has a review of the film.
