My girlfriend and I are very cold tonight.

I was explaining to her that, while testicles are very very sensitive to hot and cold, penises really don't make good thermometers (despite the phallic implications). She wondered if that might just be me, which had never occurred to me before.

So I put it to you, men of Whitechapel -- well, not really "put it to you" per se, but you know, you know what I'm saying -- is the shaft of the penis sensitive to cold? (I know the head is.)

I'm so glad I'm on this message board, otherwise I wouldn't have known who to ask!

In the shower it does, but maybe it's just the shower. The pool too, I guess. I never really paid attention.

Generally, no. The exceptions would be when it's so cold or hot that it hurts.

Just use your girlfriend's nipples instead.

Mine is very sensitive to temperature changes. The condition of Beach Dick comes especially to mind.

Although nothing quite screams "COLD PENIS!" as when I'm scurred by something large trying to chase/maim/rape me and it sucks itself in.

My genitals usually register cold by trying to crawl back up into my abdomen...

Hmm. No real problems with shrinkage, but as far as shaft sensitivity goes, I can't stand visiting the bathroom during the winter due to my horrible circulation. I have to step outside so's I don't have to touch the poor guy.

I don't think this thread is for Whitechapel but I want to chime in regardless. I've noticed an increase in testicle size after a hot shower. I haven't really noticed shrinkage in the cold, however it's not like a I whip it out in twenty degree weather.

    What weird thread...

i had dynorod in 6 months ago aka the lovely procedure that is known as an urethrotomy (go on men, look that up and try not to wince). So, I'm not in the best position to say anything. the male genitalia is by far the most inaccurate of temperature gauging devices.

I cannot believe this thread is here, but I'll bite.

I would have to say inaccurate, as some people actually like the sensation of cold, and others the sensations of warm i.e. some people get very aroused by ice cubes on the shaft, engorging the penis and thus increasing size.

Similarly, of course, the penis will get bigger in warm conditions due to improved blood flow. However, this would still be inaccurate to measure how warm.

    nipples are the best gauge.
from dipped, full beams to fog lights
    so-so, cold to baltic
