It's Friday and, nevermind the date, it's FREAKANGELS.

    OR IS IT.

    No, it is.

G'morning, Whitechapel. Don't believe anything you read on the internets, today. (Or ever, really -- I suppose there is that, isn't there.) But how is everyone doing? REALLY THOUGH.

...And the pieces start to fall together. Probably. Maybe. If Alice is right. Which she might not be. But probably is. And she certainly can't kill him, but she can have a damn good try.

I am fairly shit at the moment truth be told. Totally worn out after a week programing the website that just won't roll over and die and there's still a heap'o'work to go, which means giving up my weekend to slay the beast. I get paid extra but I'd rather have the time off. On the plus side, exhaustion has been giving me some pretty interesting dreams, including one where I had FreakAngels at the bottom of the garden. Looked out my window and there they all were, building greenhouses...

    God I need some sleep.

    Good afternoon.

This has been one snowy week. Just like the last one. It is good to have Freakangels to look forward to.

    Go Alice!

She can't kill him, or can she? At that range his head would be mist.
I'm so fucking happy it's Friday. 4 nights off. YIPEEE!

Nice. Very nice. Like Purple said, it's all coming together, interesting how the story would have been different had we followed another of mark's drones, and not Alice. The FA got lucky finding her first (or her finding them first).

And also, thank you WC'ers, for letting me tell stories this past week. Old tales I haven't told in quite a while. Makes me feel good to still be alive...

I start my vacation Sunday. Nothing serious planned other than fixing stuff around the house, a couple dates with the lady, and a Dr. appointment, but mostly rest, sweet luxurious peace and quiet.

Watch out, Alice! Strike him down and he'll become more powerful than yada yada..

Nice how Alice's speech really does bring things up to speed so well. Not sure she's quite right about the rest of the world, though - the future FA's don't look like they're broadcasting from a world where everything got back to normal.

My week has been a bit shit - the stomach problems that have irked me for years have become nasty enough to warrant a doctor deciding to do more than just say 'eat more fibre', and work has been piling up while I've been off sick. On the plus side, said doctor's advice does seem to be helping a lot, and I feel the healthiest I have for some time.

Yes! All this plot advancement is awesome, and scary, but mostly awesome methinks. I'd never given a thought to the countries outside of Britain to honest, I suppose it's nice to know that Sydney hasn't been flooded and warped by time bubbles of DOOM.

In other news, uni work is getting easier. Or is it? I don't know, this weekend should be a good test, can I actually manage to get work done AND have fun? Probably, I've practically finished my main project, I await unexpected difficulties with eagerness.

Only Britain, eh? Is this starting to move into 'Weathermonger' territory?

How come no-one noticed Alice walking in?

From the look on Mark's face in that last panel, he hasn't been filled in with what happens if Alice pulls the trigger!
But then, Alice at that distance would be... scary, even without a 12-bore.

Jamie, you're thinking of the cover to a Midnight Oil album, aren't you?

Ooh, bad choice of words. "You can't kill him" sounds like telling her what to do. Or a challenge. I'd have gone with "He can't die, it'll only make him stronger". Though I guess, in the heat of the moment.

In sheer power, another upgrade would make Mark equal to Arkady if I'm not counting wrong. That would be scary, much like a deranged hobo with a shotgun. Except the shotgun is a fleet of apache helicopters.

In personal news, I've tried writing some extreme fantasy in the vein of Song of the Sorcelator. It's hilarious, but hard, since the story keeps wanting to turn into a good story with characters and stuff.

I have a bad feeling that next Friday would be a (merchandise) skip week.
Hope I'm wrong, wanna see what Alice gonna do.
Hope not shooting him, would take many weeks to heal.

Actually living in the ugly part of town where orbiting choppers seem to be a permanent fixture in the sky I know you can't hide them.
You can hear the obscene droning and whopp-whopping for miles.
Can't those bastards read the big sign on my roof??

She's going to be really upset if he grows a new head and then ascends to the plane of Fuck You.

Also, there are 12 Freakangels. At all points in time. So no, you can't kill him, Alice.

Week's been pretty meh, but packing up and heading home for a week, where I will eat food, see friends and family, and complain about the train ride the whole time. And gloat over no longer having to deal with catastrophic, biblical floods.

I wonder: how many "upgrade packages" are there? Maybe Mark has had all the upgrades he can get...

My week was great. Became granddad for the first time of a little baby boy which turned out to be a healthy little lad complete with all the parts he has to have. So FA tops off a top-week for me.

regardless, how long does it take to recover from a fooking shotgun blast to the face!?! I say, let her blow of some steam by blowing the fucking prick's face off. no harm, no foul.

    Good morning/afternoon.

3 hours later, I'm still slightly shocked and unsettled by this episode! But more than that, I'm flushed with an almost childlike hope: "The world's still there?! The FreakAngels aren't world wreckers, mass-murderers?" I would very much like to see these characters released from that belief and subsequent guilt. I've grown fond of these tykes. It's a nice possibility, yes. We'll see. Though our heroes would have to wrestle once again with a world that doesn't want them. Man.

And man, I love this story. It really is a glorious, high-wire act. The "possibilities," the level of complexity. Just like life.

"Half Moon" looks fun and all, but I treasure every freaky friday still in the bottle.

    Nuff. Thanks, everybody.

Since he's not a time-travelling ball of pure energy and consciousness yet, I'm going to say probably not.

And as much as Mark direly needs the greater understanding and drastically expanded consciousness Connor seemed to get from his death experience, I wouldn't trust him with that kind of power that follows an upgrade. . .which may become a big problem for the Angels in the near future.

Page 4 panel 4, I don't usually like to state the obvious, but today I must join those who constantly cheer on Paul for his exceptional artwork. The smile, the tension, we all suddenly realize that Alice may be almost as damaged as the other drones... Paul you have a way of shrinking several themes into a single panel and making the story crystalize.
