I heard there's going to be a Venture Bros jam this month here at the Whitechapel.

    Love

I've done a bit of recapturing youth in the past few weeks. Had a birthday, grew a little older.
    Excalibur

I'm looking forward to the rain but I'm more excited at what art you uber talented artists will bring this month!

@jackcrowder - Amazing. Can't believe you've already preemptively trounced me in the VentureJam - that's so good! And a great quote (one of my other favourites, oddly enough, is "Compromise, my friend, is the essence of diplomacy. And diplomacy is the cornerstone of love.")

The Boss doesn't want a separate Venture Bros thread, so we'll have to be content with the regular monthly Artists Thread.

@jack crowder- nice I remember some of those guys from when I was a kid too! (been tempted to try spidey, I'll admit it)
@imaginary people- amazing, is it going to be published ( small press or otherwise -I want one) ?

Here's the last of my spring fashion designs ...

    "Whately's Success Suit"

"Superheroo Swimsuit" Spring is a great time to wear your under wear on the outside, however it is highly recommended that you also use the mask.

    "U.S. Gangster"

    "Pop Star Fantasy"

and here's the whole fantastic show on the runway complete with audience ...

sorry for the longpost, I was determined to finish 13 designs before april so I hit the drawing board hard today.

    I did these this week.

This one is my Moebius apple pie cover submission for the quenched consciousness tumblr.

Here's a sketch of Namor I did for my partner:

And a another one I did of Deadpool:

@ mercurialblonde; That Moebius cover has everything and needs to be on dorm walls.

@ HEY APTHY; I demand to see Spidey in your style. Those blond lines. Those raw focal points. Do it as your next Warm-Up.

@ 256; My strike was planned days in advance and the team behind it all wore Zardoz costumes. I remain a constant fan of your work and I've been amazed since your remake entry awhile back with the card-key design. Watching your stylized cubism pieces simply are a highlight of my usual lurking here at the 'chapel. As for the Bros piece, you just don't see much fandom for Girl Hitler and the diplomacy bit is one of my favorites too.

I wanted to quickly turn you guys on to a new e-book publisher. I came across them with my love of public domain.

    Pictorial.com

I hadn't seen it in the art threads before. It seems to be all about building portfolios and making illustrators published.

To apply as an artist: Click here.

I have an application pending that also had a spread-the-word code attached but I'm not going to spam you lot.

    I'm just greedy.

I want to own a Paul Sizer version of Price and Prejudice, Aurora Borealis's Uncle Tom’s Cabin, Alberto Silvaa's The Scarlet Pimpernel, Richard Pace's Little Women or Greasemonkey's The Jungle Book...

    Don't you?

As for art, I did a bit of work today:

I got back out into the world last night, and went to a Toulouse Lautrec themed life drawing salon. Here is what happened next:

    cigarette and wine
    glove
    red collar
    stockings
    peacock

Oddbill, all of those are fantastic. I think the second is my favorite - the splattery washes are so damn fun.

Getting the hang of drawing/painting on the ipad. So I thought I'd draw something spring-ish.
    So there you go. Cuteness.

Thanks for the compliments, Alan, Mercurial & Trini!

@Alan - splattery washes and ink lines drawn with nibs and dipped ink are where my head is these days. The surprises that happen are something I can't achieve digitally, love digital though I do.

@mrmcdaniel - that is a great self portrait!
