Hey Guys, we just wrapped up Kabuki week over at the Comic Art Club. Here's a sneak peek at each of the pieces. Click on the image to see the full version.
@ no cuddle time: *jaw drops to the floor* - [It can be a cave, it can be cave.. but I was thinking in a cliff, kinda...] @mojokingbee: *jaw drops even further* @William Joseph Dunn: *my jaw starts an epic journey to distant places* @mercurialblonde: *at half way, my jaw finds someone else's dwarvish jaw, befriends it and keep walking in search of high adventure* @harchangel: *at the peek of a windy mountain, the two jaws fight an indescriptible monster; they find a treasure chest, it's content some pieces of the amazing art that many great artists usually post on a thread in some renowned writer's forum/online freak society* @Hey Apathy!: *the two jaws rescues a beautyful elvish jaw that was chained to a cliff, waiting for it's doom. They become friends and keep marching*
Well, more droping jaws adventures later. Keep it coming.
@ mojoking- really digging these, I think you're getting subliminally tighter all the time. can't pinpoint it but I am more and more impressed with each of you're new works
@ JamesDay - nice, I wish people would stop making bad music too, it would help make it easier for people to stop listening to it.
@harris_ejaz - damn shame you couldn't post it, thats a great image - awesome look of bewilderment on the child @Paul_Sizer - superb - I love the colors. @harchangel - Beautiful - I really want to get back into some oil painting, I just can't afford it at the moment - prices on oil paints are so high these day's - I blame Bob Ross!! @Mojokingbee - I have to agree with Hey_Apathy - awesome pics that just keep getting better and better @JamesDay - well funny - I'm not surprised they sold out @no cuddle time - very stylish stuff - nice and dark @256 - I'm intrigued by your work, its so wonderfully abstract - really cool @sebastian - the common theme across so many styles is really striking, all of these are beautiful stand alone works. @Hey_Apathy - freaking ace!!
Hey Gang, I've decided to roll out a sneak peek of all of the themes we've done so far at the Comic Art Club. Our first was Transmetropolitan week. Here's a sneak peek at each of the pieces. Click on the image to see the full version.
Here's The Sprawl Trilogy week. Our second theme on the Comic Art Club. Here's a sneak peek at each of the pieces. Click on the image to see the full version.
@battguano...nice spontaneous sketch. @valente...nailed him dead-on. @256..always enjoy seeing your info-graphics. @hey apathy...thanks...I dunno, some days the scribbles just flow and some day they don't. I just make sure I'm ready when the zone breaks through. Having a shitty day sometime's helps. because I haven't drawn a dreadlock lass in a while.
A fairly recent six pager. And by fairly recent I mean it was done by me this year (I haven't done much art recently due to tablet issues and most of my pencil stuff isn't very good). I've just sent off this one (and couple other stories) to Ka-blam and I should get my proof copy somewhere in May, so it's a mini-celebration that I managed to finish the second issue. Enjoy! Comments are welcome.
@ mojokingbee I just make sure I'm ready when the zone breaks through. Having a shitty day sometime's helps I hear you on both of those creative processes, I wish shitty days didn't help, or exist but then where would all the great art come from ?
@ aurora - that's a great strip, I almost didn't want the little guy to get eaten, but then my stomach started to grumble and my sympathies reverted.
Dear god, everyone is just too fucking amazing. You guys... seriously. Damn fine work, all of you.
I did this as sort of an attempt at minimalisation, since my stuff seems to be getting a bit out of control lately. The subject is a friend of mine, who really is as dangerous as he looks (red belt in Hapkido will do that for you) but who is, generally, not this angry-looking.
