For the past two days I've been waking up at around 4-5am and heading off to morning shows to take pictures of one of our clients, a Mr. George Canyon. Additionally, I went to another television station to take more photos.
The entire time I have been fuelled by coffee. My movements being made by spastic twitches that, by pure coincidence, come together to actually make me appear functional. I have over 400 photos to go through and edit and by the end of it I might get a compliment and, if I'm lucky, two pictures will actually be used for something other than a facebook update.
And you know what the craziest thing is? I'm incredibly happy like this.
Fuck, I needed this after the past couple of weeks. Really I did.
Fun thing too, after I took that photo I looked at it and without thinking said to myself "THERE'S that smile!", which made me smile more.
Me working door at a show, which refuses to end. I think it's the Legends of Synthpop tour. Anyway, I don't know if I think this looks anything like me, but here you go.
I decided after my first day of using After Effects (yesterday) - which was doing some REALLY SIMPLE roto work - that today, I would teach myself how to use AE. So, I made this. Be gentle.
@MikiM That is actually really good. I can't tell you how many terrible AE effects I have seen, so seeing something that actually looks convincing is wonderful.
I have some peeves with it, obviously, since it was my first VFX attempt ever and my first video editing ever. hahahah I got a little too much alcohol in me and just wanted to finish it. I forgot to get the lights off of my face when I turned the orbs off. I got lazy and didn't want to mask out my fingers to get the glow out from in front of them. Other than that and being a little more nitpicky with the orb movements.... I am pretty happy with it.
Tonight was "how to do makeup" night at our practice for Rocky Horror... We're doing a Drag pre show... I figured i needed more practice looking like a guy then a girl...
I think i still need more practice... >_> And a better hair style XD
I may have consumed 3/4 of a bottle of Kraken Black Spiced Rum and I may have been up until 4am singing along to Waylon Jennings, David Alan Coe and Hank Williams Jr.
Just seen DJ Yoda at Koko in Camden. Been ages since I went to a gig. Probably Bonobo at the Roundhouse this time last year. Sweet Jesus, where does the time go?
Managed to share a cab back to south London with a couple of nice kids (by which I mean under 25). Now I bees in bed:
