    It's a pademelon, which is a tiny kind of wallaby, about a foot tall.

    A tiny wallaby? Doesn't that make it a wannaby?

    (Sorry.)

    If it's going to grow into a wallaby, is it a willaby? And then if someone eats it, I suppose it's a wasaby.

    Oh...

    Check please!

    @Jon, those roses are beautiful.

    I recently bought some Polaroid film from the Impossible Project, it's expensive, but fun.

    i've shot about half my pack of Impossible Project, but wasn't having a great time getting stuff to turn out well. then, i forgot to scan them for three months, and it turns out they deteriorate quite rapidly, even in a sealed box. i'll have to see what's happened to the rest of the pack when i shoot it.

    in the meantime, i've been on vancouver island!

    @Allana-Yeah, I've been scanning them right away. I've peeled most of them apart, the transparencies are quite interesting.

    a few weeks ago a friend of mine got a new camera, we bummed around the island taking pictures for the day, these were all shot with my camera, most of these are in my town, bit of a different side of hawaii. that's him in the last picture.

    Went for a short hike today, this park has almost literally been in my back yard for the past 20 years.

    Another in the long list of things I'll miss when I'm in Phoenix.

    if you view your photo as a continuation of the set above it, it makes for an interesting coda.

    @oldhat: Every time I look at that photo, I'm reminded of Artemisia's Judith.

    This is actually from a couple weeks ago. Should put some effort into picking some faves, which is difficult as the area is so pretty that taking good photos is like shooting fish in a barrel.
