Choppers must be perfectly balanced, so if you hang a helicopter by it's main blades axis, it must keeps on horizontal. In none of the KKs choppers this is possible, because a big amount of weight (KK herself, water tank, controls) are in the front part of the chopper, and his tail is not hevy enough to compensate, so the chopper cannot keeps itself balanced, the two KKs choppers would never take off. But, ignoring the flying impossibility, their design is way too cool.

I can ignore totally this aspect of KK's choppers for the sake of a well-written, well-draw and very fun to read story, but putting shells back, "unburning" their powder is VERY strong to me, hahahahaha!

BTW, the way Freakangels can manipulate matter, making objects float... A chopper is really needed? FAs could simply throw their weight through the skies around. And, of course, Sirkka could do amazing things on bed, hehehehe (sorry, couldn't resist)

This is going to sound incredibly kissbutt... I feel the author has mastered the two-by-two, six-page-per-episode format perfectly. You look at the beginning and there were more or less hard breaks in the plot between episodes. By the middle of the series, the plot twists didn't come every six pages, but were more or less randomly scattered as the book more closely resembled a novel (harder to do, I would assume, and requiring more confidence that the audience will stick around).

I don't even know how to describe what I see in the episodes now. There's growth, and development, in every episode. There always was, but the plot twists seem to intentionally land on page five (sometimes even page three!) so that you have the feeling of "oh my gosh this story is great" and also "good I get to read a little more" each week. Now that might just be that all the loose ends are being tied up that's making it feel this way, but I don't think so, it seems more than a circumstance of plot. Maybe it is good that the story is coming to a close. As far as I'm aware, most reactions between particles are time-reversal invariant, it's just that in order to retrace the complex steps that represent an exothermic chemical reaction (the collected action of a number of particles interacting), the exact convergence of all the particles in the right manner is so astronomically unlikely that it effectively might as well be impossible. Theoretically though, if you can control matter in a detailed and particle-by-particle manner at the atomic and sub-atomic scale (as was implied when they rebuilt the house), I'm not aware of any macroscopic sequence of events that couldn't be reversed. Allow the initial conceit, and anything is literally possible.

But now the little details of my life that I've ritualized are back in place and it feels good. Incredibly satisfying FA episode, very pleased to see that Alice has just been through too much shit to be terribly traumatized by the likes of seeing someone she killed up and on his feet and still giving her shit. A bit surprised, but relieved, that Luke didn't try to Freakattack Alice - she did smack him with a trash can lid and then disembowled him and he doesn't seem the forgiving type even if had earned all that and more. Guess I'll chalk it up to the Freakcastration.

Sometimes the speech in these leaves me feeling like a dunce. It uses modern speech, and I employ it plenty on the Twitter, over text, etc; that whole dropping the subject from sentences. "Took a walk to the store, saw Jimmy. Wrote a letter that I took to the post." Now. Did "I" write the letter or did Jimmy? I got a bit of that when Alice was talking about no safe approach to London and Mark showed surprise. Alice has a theory on what Mark is surprised/scared by but I'm a little lost on what it is. Was Mark thinking there's no way the helicopter could get into Whitechapel (a theory he would have developed before the Time Moat)? If there's no safe approach then why is Mark scared? Because a helicopter is very close anyway? So then...what's the deal with KK knowing the safe air? I'm going to go ahead and assume that's why I'm baffled on what is "safe" time-wise, what, exactly, is Alice' suspicion and how a helicopter works into it all. Does she figure Mark thought the time-weirdness around Whitechapel would protect him from the helicopter? Does she figure he didn't know about them and he's hiding behind the other 'Angels? Is she figuring KK knew about the time-weirdness but didn't know about the helicopter?

To reverse the time locally seems a lot more plausible, because the time reversal itself takes care to "unburn" the powder, no explanation needed.

But "unburn" powder by the Freakangels wish, without "time rewinding", this seems to violate the second law of Physics, and bring a lot more trouble.

The exact way that happened between these two was not explained, altough seems to be the second case. Why I'm finding this kind of issue? Because the more coherence the story have, better is his value. That's the thing great sci-fi writers pursue, because the more coherent a story is, easier it gets to believe it. Like Arthur C. Clarke and his 2001 by Kubrick: until the final part, is 100% coherent. And even in the final part, he's dealing with another universe, another dimension, and when you cross that boundary, everything becomes possible without hurting coherence.

When you write a historical story, you have to do a lot of research to remain faithful to the epoch of the story. If you wanna do a movie like "Quest for fire", taking place in the prehistoric time, you have to research to know how the cave men would behave, otherwise no one believe it. If you make a movie like "La reine Margot", you have to research clothing, habits, accent, dialect and so on to remain faithful to the story, or no one would believe it. With sci-Fi is no different, and lesser you have things without explanation, the better. If after Alice requested to put her shell back, some Freakangel said "ok, we can reverse the time on your shot", the coherence of the story would be dramatically increased. Just a little detail that makes some difference.
