I was going to start a thread on costume party costumes, as the season is upon various Western countries. But I thought I'd run it by here first to see if there was any interest in making it a Remake/Remodel, like "Draw a costume based on this abstract concept" or "Whitechapel costume ball".
(The concept I had in mind for an actual costume for myself is 'ping,' as in sonar or the network ping command, but I've no idea how to do it...)
I'm very aware I've been a bad daddy recently and haven't been launching new R/R threads. Ton of work, moving house, blah blah blah. Urethral maggots have been self-administered accordingly. Promise I'll get back to it ASAP. In the mean time feel free to make suggestions for R/R threads if you feel strongly about something.
yeah it's not awful, but it's a bit distracting. It's like having to get used to a hum you can't fix. And it only does it for about 2/3 of the comments, it's so odd. Thanks guys.
Is the search a little broken? I just went back to browse the old IDNNTST threads, and I only got 11 hits on this search. I could have sworn that used to bring up at least 20-30 hits.
Si & Ariana: I've been given a book contract and so I've got to do the inevitable marketing. I'm intending to blog the research I didn't use in the book on my blog but I've a question for you - any chance I could have a thread here where I can throw the images and a link to the blog? Discussion of Victorian ethics, how they never went away, and other such horrific dirty things to follow.
I'm told publication's in about 3/4 months time so I figure there'd be a fair amount of content.
Congratulations, Ben - great news. I don't see why that wouldn't be okay... I can't promise you a sticky or anything like that, and if you're just planning on cross-posting to your own blog I can't promise you much in the way of interest/response, but I've no objection to you starting a thread about unused research.
