Thanks, oldhat. It makes sense as you say to keep it one page, was just being greedy, which does skew the purpose of the thread.

Regarding the Artist's thread, I assume you mean the one already underway in Culturegasm (have posted a couple of unrelated pics there already), in which case I would ask if it is cool to post more than one episode there (again, only a couple as I have no desire to serialise here, but would be interested to see what other artists think of the form beyond one set of four frames)?

Please excuse my fumbling with all the etiquette involved - I know I'm asking a lot of questions and perhaps seeming to not quite grasp the obvious, but as I said before I am new to this kind of forum where such a level of professional delicacy is required and I really don't want to tread on any toes.

I will update my one page comic thread accordingly and also post ep1 on the Artists thread. If you do think it's okay to post a couple more eps on the Artists thread let me know so I can whoop with uncontainable joy (or not, depending on where I am - I've done it before in a public place and it really didn't go down well, this being England and all).

Thanks again for all your help :)

    Dear peeps...

... I've been doing this list (its a huge Fuck off life as performance art thing really, just because and to be written about and an honest attempt to find how and who I am as a writer/artist/performer/person), and kind of as a conclusion to this, I'm applying for a slot on the free fringe at Edinburgh next august.

I'd like, if that's agreeable, to have a thread that I can use to chart my journey and to keep me honest and plead ask occasionally for ideas or pointers or whatever... I can't honestly think of anywhere else that I want to put such a thing as this and as such I can't see it going anywhere else.

May I? And if OK, where would be best to park this?

So not dissimilar to Magnus' "an actor's life for me" thread, aye? I'm okay with it.

Culturegasm may be best for it.

Epic indeed, I'm thinking that one needs translating, it has the look of a real gem. Do we have any German speakers here?

Quoth the ever-accurate Google Translate: "Wearable Wednesdays Giving Thanks There are a number of things to give thanks for without doubt my list can go on and on giving. But if it is the day before Thanksgiving, you need to think about what you are truly grateful. My career has almost two tracks there Kimmie Smith as an accessory "or Expert and then there is the other version in terms of my initiatives such as shoe Week. Today I'm sharing what I'm thankful for in terms of my pers" onliche brand and tomorrow the side initiative will involve. I would to the fact that my career erm "it it possible for me to meet a lot of people, their history to ore" commended and also engage in it to make them Modern Wedding Dresses to personalize my point of view it is such..."

So, yeah. Thread sublimated to gas and echoes.

arg halp! For some reason i am able post images just fine but i'm not able to post videos
(taphead- fixed it on my post) "you need the longer link (www.youtube.com/etc), and then the video/mp3 button will handle the embedding business. Remember the Format comments as Html thingy at the bottom, too."

I even had computer wiz hubby try and help me figure it out and used another browser tried every variation under the sun.... no dice. The site- she rejects my videos heh. Seriously images pop up no problem...

Hi Comicbookbunny. I've never got the video tags to work. If you copy the YouTube URL and just use the link tags as you would for any other link it comes up as a video (This is what I've just done in the Around The Net thread.)

If your YouTube link is a https:// remove the s when you link it.
  10.  (9742.219)
Can't get either to work it just shows up blank (on both counts) I copy (http://youtu.be/EXTkyAUHdic) then hit (video/mp3) paste then hit (ok) also I make sure Html is clicked as format. The only time (on the spit thread) i even got something to show up was trying to experiment with the embed. I even tried to copy and paste from when I first tried to post the video (when Taphead fixed it)

    >frustrated< what am I doing wrong here.

    Ah, there's your problem.

Not the http://youtu.be/EXTkyAUHdic, you need the URL that goes http://www.youtube.com/etc.

The short version is a redirect, so the embed flakes out.
