Which was hugely affirming for a hack like me

    Really, Warren? "A hack"? Really?

Not so much a surprise as an about time, really, but good to hear, none the less. It'll be nice having a few more things of yours that'll sit properly on a shelf.

@RenThing Well, he does hack things. In to little bits. And by "things", I mean "people".

In comics, I work to weekly and sometimes daily deadlines, and the pages have to go out regardless of whether I think they're any good or not. Definition of hack.

If you say so, Warren. I don't think hacks have fan-bases as large as yours.

i think i know what my Xmas presents are going to be next year. where can i buy 100 copies on preorder?

Warren, This is excellent news. Actually came late to Crooked Little Vein (read it last Xmas), but read it in 10 hours straight and thought it was brilliant. Will probably do the same with this one.

Shakespeare, Dickens, and Conan Doyle were hacks, by that definition. It's not such an insult, really.

    Congrats, Swami.

I'm still not sure my definition and your definition of 'hack' see eye to eye.

Anyway, good luck with the wording.

Love your blog post on this announcement - it really comes through just how much this means to you. And no wonder - sounds like a dream deal with awesome people involved.

But yeh, a room packed with murder guns. Cannot wait to see where we go from there.

I'd argue that a hack is someone who puts stuff out without *caring* if it's any good.

    More Warren books though. Awesome.

I 'accidentally' left my copy of Crooked at my folks place. I do wonder if they've had the nerve to read it yet.

Wow, I can't wait to do the motion novel of this!

    Seriously, congratulations Warren.

I haven't been this excited for a novel in a while.

Well, I guess that's because I don't follow the pre-release buzz of novels. I am perfectly content to discover them three years later.

Still! I love Crooked Little Vein.
