    This is a link to a picture taken this last thursday, just after the 20 week mark. In addition to the normal ultrasound screens to make sure the baby is healthy (and to confirm gender, a boy), the doctor gave us a little surprise in the form of this image. His name will be Elijah Nathaniel Sher, and he's due on Sept. 12th. We're hoping to raise him as a fellow geek, but knowing rebellious kids, he might turn out to be a stockbroker or jock for all we know. :)

    I'm really excited about this, especially now that we know that the boy is healthy and free of any obvious issues, and while I've posted about this elsewhere, I realized I hadn't mentioned it here yet, so... here we are!

    You should get to as many live gigs, have sleep ins and all the things you take for granted in the next 20 weeks as you will not be able to after September.

    You never realise just how precious a commodity sleep is until a baby arrives.

    It is all worth it.
