You do a webcomic? Tell me about it here. Not more than one or two images, please, or else the thread takes forever to load. Don't forget the bloody link.

Relax. There are only 9000 members of Whitechapel, plus god knows how many drop-ins who aren't registered members. Only around 2500 people per day visit Whitechapel on average. Except when it's busy, or when I run links from warrenellis.com.

And they all want to read webcomics.

NOTE: this is not for people to list their favourite webcomics. We've done that before. Boring.

Hurrah for the return of webcomics week!

As always I am Scott Springer and I continue to do my webcomic ANGRY FAERIE, which I've described as "If Tinkerbell and Dragonball had a baby, you'd get something like this." It's the ongoing story of the world's angriest faerie and the other mythical and legendary creatures who have to put up with her. The comic has been going for well over a year and it updates every Monday/Wednesday/Friday (and I've never missed an update). Hope you'll stop by and take a look, leave a comment, redesign the website.... (ok, the last one isn't necessary).

The current story has AF and her "friends" trying to overthrow Merlin in what will surely be an Epic Battle for the Ages.

My primary project right now is the sports-crime thriller KEEPER, about an American goalkeeper who comes to England to play... and exercise his OTHER talent too:

Written by me, art/colors by Jeff Simpson, and designs/letters by GUINNESS WORLD RECORD HOLDING LETTERER Jim Campbell! But hey, why take MY word for it?

Phil Hester (Firebreather, The Anchor, Wonder Woman) says: “Readers of Keeper can count themselves lucky to be in on the beginning of a startlingly innovative writer’s career.”

In addition to that, I also write/edit for the sci-fi anthology webcomic Hadron Colliderscope. Much like the good ol' Future Shocks, HC updates weekly with a 1-5 page tale for YOU! Here's a page from the last strip I wrote, "Third Time," drawn by Lisandro Di Pasquale:

Even tho I personally had nothing to do with it, Hadron Colliderscope DID put out an adaptation of a Warren Ellis story, "Futube," which you can read by clicking here...

I also wrote a 10-page fantasy comic about barbarians, reincarnation, and Morrissey that was drawn by LUCID TV's John Keogh a few years back called "There Is A Light". That also got printed up, and this year we made a 2nd Edition of it. I still have a bunch of those, and KEEPER Issue 0's as well, if you're interested....

Last Res0rt is a cyberpunk comic about a cadre of condemned criminals on a deadly, futuristic reality show... and one of the volunteers thrown in with them finds out she's a vampire, and has to keep this secret at all costs!

While the comic is currently in the middle of a short, scheduled hiatus, this is a great time to start at the beginning and get all caught up. There's also a roleplaying game in development, so if you want in on that, sign up here!

WARBIRDS OF MARS is a Thrilling Neo-Pulp / Retro-scifi webcomic I started last year in the style of 'Flash Gordon' strips, 'War of the Worlds,' Noir films, 'The Shadow' and more. Kane Gilmour is the wordsmith, I draw the pretty pictures.
It begins in 1948, four years since the ‘martians’ (as the invaders are called) attacked the earth and superceded WWII, occupying much of the major cities of the world. The resistance forces struggle to re-unite the ragged/ dispersed militaries of the planet in the hopes of fighting back with new technology. Hunter Noir leads the Martian Killers ('Bomber' Jack Paris, Josie Taylor, and Mr. Mask).

I'm in the process of also doing a collected print version in time for Phoenix Comicon in May, and a brand new webpage to go with it (complete with old-time Radio show of 'WoM', additional art, swag, etc), so please keep watching the domain name, warbirdsofmars.com

My Life at War
It's a mecha comic by myself and Matt Materniak. We put up a full color page every Friday (no missed updates! Woo!). Follows the life and times of the 1st Investment Recovery Battalion, specifically of the pilot Betsy-Ray. They're a "large property security firm" who specialize in potential conflict zones. Aka: They're card-carrying mercenaries. It's an overarching war story with elements of humor. So yeah, check us out if you like giant robots and capitalism.

Mini note: In order for this page (the latest one) to make sense, the mechs are called LIMBS (because they all only have 1 arm). But yes, enjoy.

The Cattle Raid of Cooley, my serialised Iron Age Irish epic, continues apace. IT's probably in the region of halfway done. I've tried to avoid all the Frazetta barbarian/new age Celtic clichés and tell a story that, although it's set in the prehistoric past, it's the present for the characters, if that makes sense. The art style is derived partly from Eddie Campbell, partly from Donna Barr, partly from 50s-80s children's book illustrator Charles Keeping, and partly from the way my hand works no matter what I try and do. Here's a couple of recent pages retelling a very well-known incident from the life of the hero...

My newest webcomic is a satirical horror story with artist EC Steiner called THINK OF THE CHILDREN.

It's a 24-page story about the events leading to the original Comics Code Authority. The members of the Senate Subcommittee are secret monster hunters, seeking to destroy evil children, who they believe are corrupted by the stories of EC Comics.

THINK OF THE CHILDREN is also designed for print publication, with plans for a hand-made, hardbound, sculpted artifact book in mind. We just launched a Kickstarter campaign last week to help fund the print project. Funding from Kickstarter will pay for the print production of THINK OF THE CHILDREN, including:

* Hardbound davey board covers set on cloth bound hinges.
* A sculpted resin seal embedded in the front cover.
* Interior printing on Dur-O Tone, 70# Newsprint.
* Laser etched line art on the back cover.
* A color overlay in the middle of the book.
* An inside front cover book plate.
* An inside back cover library card and envelope, listing donors and those who assisted in production.

We're offering some fun rewards: copies of the book, ACEO cards, sculpted netsukes and more! Please consider donating or helping us spread the word.

I also write a webcomic called BORDER CROSSINGS. There are currently over 70 pages (3+ issues) of story online. I'm currently working with a new artist to finish the remaining 44 pages.

BORDER CROSSINGS is a dark marine fantasy where a salvage submarine’s strange crew must redefine freedom for their drowned world. If you prefer comparisons it’s Firefly, Labyrinth and Perdido Street Station in a nautical steampunk mash-up. The story is also an allegory for the modern era of globalization.

Carnivore Carnival is a collection of short comics of various types and drawn in as many art styles as I can manage.
Stories range from one page funnies through postapocalyptic religious fantasies, through somewhat symbolic musings on gender, improvised silent stories up to horror tales.

Currently, there are 85 pages (17 stories, the 18th one has just started this last Friday).
Most of the material is in color although recently I did a couple of b/w tales.

I'm the co-writer for ESCAPE FROM TERRA, along with Sandy Sandfort, and Illustrated alternatively by LEE OAKS! and Leila Del Duca (we're running a sort of experiment with A/B arcs). It's set a century in the future and concerns the doings of people in the interplanetary frontiers. From time to time the "United World" Earth government comes around and tries to spoil the party.
This scene isn't really typical of the strip but it's good eye-candy:

I also write and draw another webcomic, QUANTUM VIBE, which started this January. Set 500 years in the future, it's about a girl and her mad scientist, their android friend and an invention that will change everything.

Both of these are 5-day-weekly strips, by the way. We take our funnies seriously.

Happy May Day, Whitechapel!

I'm Dan Goldman and I do RED LIGHT PROPERTIES, a ghost-story/real-estate series that about a small realty office on Miami Beach that exorcises and sells "previously-haunted houses" to victims of foreclosure. The RLP office is run by the Tobins, a couple in the process of divorcing: Jude Tobin (above in striped shirt) is the schlubby drug-addled Jewish shaman and Cecilia is his control-freak Cuban wife who runs the business affairs, leaving him free to enter haunted houses and smoke hallucinogenic plants that let him enter the spirit world to converse with the spirits in the hopes of getting rid of them. There's also their young son Turi, stuck in the middle of the divorce, and Zoya, their perky zaftig Russian receptionist-slash-ghost-photographer whose enthusiasm for working with our shaman feeds his own ego while exacerbating an already-bad situation.

Hey peeps from all over! Hub here and me and my friend Teddy are co-creators of this weekly webcomic we've been doing since January 2010. It's called Work In Progress (WIP) or WIPCOMICS.

Life after college can go something like this: college reunions, birthday dinners, first jobs, overtimes, frustrations at work, new jobs, summer vacations. Repeat all these as necessary. Work in Progress (WIP) has these and some geekiness in between as we go through all the craziness and unpredictability of post-academic life.

Written by myself and illustrated by the Amazing David Brame, Punch-Up is the ongoing story of man who gets beaten up for a living.

After Patrick loses his job and his girlfriend – both, for the most part, due to the fact that he has been picked on and beaten up his entire life – his roommate, Andy, takes him out for a night of bar-hopping where he meets two girls: one who could easily be the girl of his dreams and another who attempts to burn down his home. Now, with his best friend and pseudo-stalker, Patrick is determined to start up his own business using the only skill he has ever known: getting beaten up.

Guten tag, I am Filial Piety and here's my comic, Stefan Autsa. I mean, the comic is called Filial Piety and I'm...ah you know what I meant to say. Updates with a bunch of pages each Monday and involves the progeny of the leaders of the world's countries sent to look after a barren moon until they arrive to claim the land in person.

I'm working on a graphic novel that I publish a page at a time each week called Nathan Sorry. These most recent two pages have seemingly veered off into romantic comedy territory but it's actually a dark, moody thriller about a guy who should have been in the World Trade Center on 9/11 but instead has changed his identity and gone on the run.

Hi all,

Adam Smith and I (Matt Fox) have started a comic that we are updating every Monday that started April 1st, 2011. It's called "Long Walk to Valhalla" and is a southern story about a man who meets a twelve year old girl after his car breaks down in rural Arkansas, who tells him that she's a Valkyrie who intends to take him to Valhalla when he dies that day. The story is scripted to be about 60-80 pages and we're currently on page 5. You can read it and our first comic at Wet Black Ghost.

I do thinky autobiographical stuff. Most of it is non-serial, although I've been doing a daily self-portrait project for the last 6-7 months.

I have a fairly lengthly archive at Blush and Mumble.

Wow, there is some incredible work in here!

My name is Sean Cumiskey and I am the artist and co-writer of The Civil Defender. My friend Mitch Jones and I have just finished our first short story entitled 'Space is the Place for Love'. Originally, the Civil Defender appeared in the Atlanta zine Rice on the Other in two and three page parts, with each part ending in a mini-cliffhanger. As far as I know Rice on the Other is no longer updated, so we decided to make the Civil Defender a web comic. We have an idea for an overall story arch involving North Koreans, space-zeppelins, government conspiracies, robot concubines and more, but we decided to dip our toes in with some short stories first! This is hard work, after all!

As a side note, the birth of the Civil Defender can be traced back to this article about the beautiful, classic Civil Defense logo being redesigned into something that looks like it belongs on a Mall Cop uniform. It's a protest comic, of sorts. ;)

Yay! Another Webcomics Week! Last time, I got enough comics out of it to read up on almost until now!

I'm the creator of Conny Van Ehlsing, Monster Hunter, a series of short stories about a girl growing up to be a monster hunter. Or just generally growing up. Eventually.

I've been busy getting ready for TCAF but as always, my two sites are Revolver & Dream Life!

Currently on Revolver i just posted a story i did a little while ago as part of the ‘THIS IS A SOUVENIR: THE SONGS OF SPEARMINT & SHIRLEY LEE’ anthology. Wanted to use it to help promote voting in our recent election [it has big life/politics themes to it] - didn't get the outcome i was hoping for but you can still read it here.

And i'll be trying to get back on top of my weekly, maybe even more than weekly posts of Dream Life once TCAF is done. When last we left off, PJ had found a place to rest...

Our mature web comic is called Chronicles of Akasha, after the cosmic record of all human history. The story follows Art Waters, a veteran of the psychic wars, and his Native American medicine man friend, Charlie Many Colors, as they unravel the secrets of dimensional travel and alternate timelines in a race to save the world from evolutionary lockdown by the forces of Shadow.

Chronicles of Akasha is open for all to read with free registration at the Project Restoration -- A Revolution in Consciousness website.

Not a webcomic in the traditional sense, but I recently made this little digital popup book for iPhones (and the like) using the Picklet platform, which was developed by Stewart Haines. The app should be launching soon. Use the little slider arrow down the bottom to animate & move through it.

I write a comic called Spy6teen--

It's a fairly mainstream/pop/super-science comic about a high school girl named Cally Calhoon, who moonlights as a super-spy. Tonally, it's a bit of a love letter to the early 2000's comics that got me back into reading: Ultimate Spider-man, Invincible, and Warren's work on Planetary/Authority-- (although, I consider us an "all-ages" book, so not quite as violent as The Authority...) We were called Joss Whedon-y in a review-- Personally, I take that as a compliment. (I leik Joss stuf)

We update once a week on Tuesday, and I also do a pretty lengthy process writeup with each page. We also supplement the comic with a blog on Thursdays, where I pundit Digital/Web/Distribution news.

We've wrapped up our first issue and recently started waving our Digital Comic flag. We're currently available on Graphic.Ly for 99 cents, and we've got a few other platforms in the works. Why would you pay 99 cents for a webcomic that you can get for free? Good question. I try to answer it here.

I think we're one of the few "full team" webcomics around-- with (in my opinion) a really solid creative team. Our artist is a fellow from Hawaii named DJ Keawekane, who has done some indie work for a comic called Pono Loa. We're colored by Lisa Moore, who colors Boom's Darkwing Duck book, and lettered by Brant Fowler from Comic Related. Rounding out our cast is DJ Kirkbride, who was one of the editors for Image's Popgun anthology. (and won a friggin' Eisner!)

Oh, and I'm the guy that runs the Comic Book Script Archive...which Warren was kind enough to link once, and nearly broke my server.

Been meaning to do this for a while and am I ever glad I stopped in for my Freak Angels/ Whitechapel fix and got the reminder.
So my book SOJOURN isn’t technically a web comic as it started it’s life back in the late 90’s as a independent print comic. I’m now posting the original series, 3 pages a week, as a lead up to new stories.
