looking good everyone! @Valente what a cute deer @Neila - I just went for a 2 am stroll passed a bunch of bars, looks like it happened alright.( one guy dropped his slice of pizza in a pile of unidentifiable ooze, fell over trying to pick it up, succeeded and ate the slice, the rapture is here!) @KevinMellon's stellar desk shots- freaking tight love seeing your process
I thought this was a little funny in comparison, the HEY APATHY! desk shot...
the little brown thing beside the computer screen is my sleeping bearded dragon and the upright board in the first pic is an old remake that is now being used as a privacy curtain so my neighbors can't see in the window.
@hey apathy - aside from the lizard and the Videodrone dvd, that's about how the rest of my workspace is. :) I have a computer table and an art desk. The cintiq goes back and forth 'tween the two as needed. The rest is piles of books, bristol and receipts. I'm pretty bad about piling stuff up around me as I work.
@donnie darko - That's really great. You should send it to James. I think he'd dig it.
@mojo - prolific as usual. I like how comfortable you've gotten just whipping all of these out. Fun stuff.
@Hey Apathy: That's about what my work space looks like, only think bigger. Nice work @kevinmellon, love it. Lots of good stuff this month. I like seeing all the new people join in.
@ mojo - the wrestler is serious badass @ KevinMellon- awesome 80's comic stylin' and I had a feeling the rest of your studio might not be a tight as the art! hah hah @kperkins- ho-ooowwwl I cropped the desk shot , I left out the six metres of paper, scanners, wires, folders, and bits all over the floor
@Hey Apathy: Sounds like me. Paper everywhere, books everywhere, canvas and boards piled up. Some artists are neat, some messy, I guess we fall in the latter category. I've found that I can't work without clutter.
Haha. Thanks everyone. I realize it's a strange bit of business, but I get an insane laugh out of it, and I kinda figure that's all that matters. :)
@jackcrowder "lost in its new environment"? Not sure what you mean here, but I'm curious. I love Sketchbook pro, I pencil almost everything digitally in either that or Manga Studio (lately all Sketchbook Pro), then print out to ink by hand.
This was my entry in the supergirl redesign, supergirl as lady gaga typa-thing, I did two versions, and went with the more basic one that was less cropped:
@mercurialblonde, that's preposterously awesome. @imaginarypeople, your pages look amazing! Very, very interesting line style. Love it. @Neilford, rocking the place, as always.
Next, me oldest addiction: old rpg's characters redesign.
It's nice being back. Havn't shown my work around here in a very long time. And very glad I did it in this month's thread, so full of manymanymany awesome artists and pieces.
