Man, what an awesome month of excellent stuff, and we're not even half way thru.
Random commission from a lovely gal in Ottawa who wanted to see herself as a Supe. Lots of fun, ink/wash and a bit of watercolouron 300 lb. hotpress paper.
@ Jack Crowder, Valente and anyone else who is, was, or wishes they still were 10 years old ..
thanks to everyone ( imaginary, mercurial, pupato, Lordof ect) for the kind words and wonderful art this month, I was having a rough time you all helped + in case you couldn't tell I'm having fun with this stuff again !!!
also @ the Mighty Foamhead - just thank your unbleached eyes I didn't post the video of me jumping aroung my room in my underwear I used as figurative reference for the these pages
@jurgan…pretty sketches. @imaginarypeople…nice spidey. @JP…brilliant stuff. @lazzyfair….like how you composed the poster. @valente….sci-fi noir headphones!! @chris…old and new ironman mashup. @rooth…beautiful stuff. @hey apathy…sweet action poses. bloody hell with the super web pattern. I'd have a headache trying to draw his patterns that close together.
last one for the nite…doodles for something later…
thankee to all for their kind comments. I do say yes Im aware of certain shortcomings in most images too and I am seeking to improve upon them all. and thanks to @paul sizer for his kind comment on the coloured piece. I rather enjoyed doing it, even if the face doesnt match the photo. at all. :P but learning to use copic markers is fun even if Im using the wrong kind of paper.
@ JP - it all depends on how long it was actually in the toilet for ... @ mojo- Nice Monkeys- love the Bats attacking the truck too! & yes the webbing was much fun @ imaginary- No way I love your Spidey! and this comic is looking good too
I don't know how or why (1-quit smoking 2-meditate in park 3- draw Spider-man ) but things are looking up around here. I started talking to a commercial designer about doing some illustrations for him and next thing you know I convinced him to help me make virtual paintings. These are rough but we are going to do 3D renderings of my cityscapes that the audience/user can navigate through with a video game controller...
phew! now I can drain the tub and put the razor blades away for at least a few more weeks! Hah
heres the third page now i am looking for comic artists who want to help me with this little experiment. each person who chooses to will draw 3-5 pages continuing duncan dashes' journey. each ending page will have him dive down a hole/portal into another universe. if interested email me - imaginarypeople26@yahoo.com
