Breath-taking, imaginative Soviet and European architecture in much the same vein as the Boss's EnglishRussia posts. Even in a world now desensitised to CGI these seem weird and wonderful, let alone when you consider they genuinely exist.

Some Black Holes May Pre-Date The Big Bang, Say Cosmologists
If the Universe expands and contracts in cycles of Big Bangs and Crunches, some black holes may survive from one era to the next, according to a new analysis

The roll up laptop. Is this for real? I'm sure one among you will be informed enough to tell us. I do know of the superflat oled. I suppose I could do a bit of googling, but kids, work, pedicures and pilates get in the way... Not at the same time, of course.

The fact that this video is all CG picture is a good hint that this isn't for real yet.

Display tech looks like it'll be able to go that way, but I do wonder how you go about making a CPU that's flexible. Silicon is notoriously, you know, solid. Getting rid of the heat, hell, even providing the power, are all tricky things to get flexible.

Not that I think it's impossible, just that it still feels to me to be a long way off.
