So I write a comic called THE PRIDE. It's about a group of LGBT superheroes who form a team with the intention of improving representation and opinion of thir community in their world, and how they go about doing that. It's also a good old fashioned superhero action adventure story with people hitting each other and nuclear trout and junk.

The intention is to show that a mainstream style superhero comic can be about queer superheroes but still be accessible and enjoyable to everyone. It's one of my first comic projects, and I hope it hits the mark.

I have a fantastic artist involved in the form of one Gavin Mitchell. I also have an amazing colourist in the form of the awesome Kris Carter. And there are other artists who have already, or are working on, other aspects to the project including Marc Ellerby, Joshua Smith and more. And herein lies the problem: hiring artists costs money...more than I can comfortably manage on my minimum wage job and like, live at the same time.

So I started a Crowdfunder account for it. Crowdfunder is kinda like a UK based Kickstarter, and is helpful to creative projects. So I am using it to raise th money to fund the production of the comic series.

So please, if you can and want to, help support my project and help me make it as amazing as it can be. And also help by spreading the word anywhere and everwhere.

Thanks for your time (I do hope it's okay to put this here actually).

    Hey, so, back again.

Crowdfunder didn't work out (it's not a perfect platform, and I was going about it all wrong too). So we've now moved to IndieGoGo, and we're having much more success. In fact, the comic is doing really well.

You can help us out here, and there are a number of social networking links so you can help spread the word as well as support.

Money raised goes towards printing, marketing and distribution of the comic series, in an effort to improve distribution outside of the UK. Atm, IndieGoGo is the best way to get yourself a copy outside the UK.

At MCM London Expo this year, I actually gave Warren Ellis a copy of a Stiffs/The Pride preview comic that me and my co-writers on the other project, Stiffs, put together and self-published. I do wonder what he thought of it, I hope he liked it.

There are maybe a few copies of said preview book available via www.thecomicguru.co.uk but there was only 4 left last time I checked.

Looks like a great project. Can't wait to get it!

Thanks. We're getting a lot of great support, so I hope readers love it as much as I do

    Wow...long time no see, eh.

I have been rather busy since I last posted here. The Pride is made/being made. We are two issues in on the main series, and have even created a satellite anthology comic, The Pride Adventures, to fill in gaps in release schedule and expand on the world and characters.

We've had ups and downs as we've been going along, but lately, things have been going much better and we are getting more and more interest by the day.

You can find out more about The Pride, check out our Facebook page here.

And you can find the comics on sale, in print and digital, here.
