    @Alan - Sorry! Typo. That will be fixed immediately.

    @Beamish - Yeah, I'd say so. There are a few stories with sexual content, some have pretty strong language...also, I have a guy's head get ripped off and a mutant baby abomination crawl through the neckhole.

    Hey guys. I know I've been saying this is getting close for forever, and it is. I could sit here and make excuses for hours, but I've been busy, there it is, that's my excuse. Sorry, I know I'm lettin' ya down. Anyway, I am making slow progress. One thing I definitely need is a cover though. I've got nothin yet. The book is going to be 6x9, if anyone wants to take a crack at it that'd be awesome. If we get more than one I'll post them all on the Facebook page.

    PS. I started a FB page. So you know, start liking, or whatever it is you kids do these days.

    PPS. I also posted one more of my stories on my site at http://intimateknowledge.blogspot.com/2011/10/grand-spectacle.html

    PPPS. If anyone has any of their stories posted online and they want them to be available for preview via the FB page, send me a link and I'll link them on the page.

    I had some ideas but I threw them out because they were specific to a couple of stories and I didn't want to give service to any certain part of the book. Really I'd just like something that captures the overall feeling of being out of place...that's pretty much the only requirement I have right now content wise. Just let your friend know that it has to look ok on a 6x9 page.
    ETA: Oh and the cover text needs to be Out of Place, Out of Time: An Odd Collection of Short Stories

    I know it's been a long time, but the book is ready for print. I just still need a cover, unless you guys want me to use the placeholder I put up on FB, I think we can get something better, but I dunno. What does everyone think?

    @Morac - We've actually had a few people say they were going to contribute to the cover, so I've given them till next week to send something in.

    Also, what Vornaskotti said, the more buzz we can get going about the book, the better.

    If i can i will make some flyers and put them on counters on comic shops and cafes around London.
    I'm not up to scratch with my art so i will have to keep it simple.Would that be ok?Probably better if someone designed something classy on here so i could just print them out at work.That sounds a better option.

    Has the book got a intro?I know little about legal issues but a few words from someone recognised in the community would help it sell.Just my opinion.

    I'm really excited about this.

    That doesn't sound half bad, actually - the flyers and such. It's a shame we won't be getting the book before Christmas, but when we actually have something to sell, that kind of grassroots level marketing is a-okay!

    @Flecky - The flyers are a great idea, though I'm horrible with art too. Anyone want to have a go at designing something? We should probably leave off that until I get all the online purchasing info so we can throw that on there too. Should be mid to late next week everything gets uploaded to the sites (that is Lulu and Amazon for the Kindle).

    In terms of the intro, I wrote a short one that's in there. Not sure if we have time/what the interest would be for someone established in the writing community to write something, though I'm thinking about doing a follow up book in the future, so perhaps if this one does alright, we'll get something like that next time.

    Thanks for the input, I'm always looking for new ideas and ways to get this stuff out to the people. I'll update everyone more on this as publishing time draws nearer.
