@Beamish - There will be an epub version of OOP available in April. In order to get all I could out of the Kindle version I had to make it the only e-version available for 3 months (I believe... will double check that tomorrow night when I finally get home). I wasn't sure what the market for a Lulu epub version was/if it was needed so I figured I'd let it go into the Kindle lending library for a couple of months (sorry if that messed ya up). If you'd prefer to get it sooner, I can just send you the original file via email. Get me at steevo83 at gmails and the dots coms.
So,is this going to be the same deal as OOPOOT?I was happy to buy a carnal-copy of that and i will do the same for this. What about illustrations?Yeah,i imagine there's reasons why it's easier said than done, but i would love to see some of the amazing art from here wedged between or mixed with the stories.
Whitechapel Quarterly...the thought of a ongoing publication get's me all enthusiastic for a change.I could see people start to serialize longer works-creating characters who we would get to know so we could look forwards to their continuing exploits and adventures.
Next time i want my copy signed...with a variant cover limited to 100 drawn by Jim Lee!
Seriously, though,i do admire and respect all for putting such effort into something that we all passionately love.Good storytelling!
@texture - Coming from Mr. Weaponizer that is high praise indeed. Gonna submit something for this one?
@Beamish - Tell @Oldhat to get in touch with me, I'm sure I could work something out for a prestigious Whitechapeler such as herself.
@flecky - GETTING THERE is @Anchorbeard's deal, but if we're going to get a true Whitechapel Quarterly going, I'd still love to have two more editors who would be more than welcome to try any formatting experiments they'd like.
@Anchorbeard - Been meaning to ask, do you have a place (blog or something) that you can post the full details for submissions?
This is a-o-kay by me. If you guys need copyediting help again, do let me know. Also, illustration/cover-design stuff? Can I has contribute some photography? God knows my aimless wanderings have produced much prettier pictures than words.
So, I have a 300 worder that just seems like it will become too bulky if I add more. It has not been edited yet but I like it so far. Story the combobulation of story two.
@Steevo: I was thinking, actually, that we should have a blog or, as oldhat suggested to me, a wordpress, just for Whitechapel Quarterly, for submission guidelines, news, maybe a few sample stories if the writers are comfortable with it, things like that. Anyone good with setting such things up? (I'm honestly very rubbish at setting up websites, even simple php boards).
@allana: I've got an idea for the cover, but let me see if we can get photographic submissions to work in the ebook format. I'm all for photos, particularly ones based on this theme.
@Anchorbeard - In keeping with Beamish's question, I'm sure the non-Whitechapelites that contributed to OOP would be interested in this as well, what do you think?
