    my former painting teacher George Pratt always had very nice things to say about Jeff. Jeff took George, Kent Williams, and Jon J Muth under his wing back when they were students. I know he has had a very rough last couple of years. I hope he is at peace now.

    Her books covers and her ongoing 'Idyl' in National Lampoon were always gorgeous. She could take even the most awkward poses and invest them with live, motion, and even grace. A great talent.

    I remember seeing this picture of Jeff Jones and his studio mates, Bernie Wrightson, Mike Kaluta and Barry Windsor-Smith when I was a kid and thought it was cool that comic book artists could look like they were in Led Zeppelin.

    Man, I've worked in creative groups before where we all thought we were certain to all become well known and respected, and at most it happened to one guy, once.

    It must feel kind of great to have been in that picture and look back at it after everyone in it had such real influence within comics art. Even in spite of trouble in life.
