When I can afford them:

Zero Tolerance for music. Mostly focused on extreme metal, but also covers some noise / industrial / power electronics stuff. The reviews aren't always great (I've seen a few where the reviewer obviously has a massive bias for / against a particular band) but they're obviously passionate about the music.

Edge for videogames. This is mostly for train journeys. It feels like it's gone downhill in the last few years (or maybe I've grown up). Usually very well designed - even long after I stopped subscribing I've bought issues of this based on the cover alone. Focuses on the industry itself more than other mags I've seen - they had a thing for a while where they'd focus on a particular geographical location and do little profiles and stuff of all the different developers working around that area. I remember loving the column written by Toshihiro Nagoshi (producer of the Super Monkey Ball games, among other things), even if it was a bit patchy - one month would be all about how he loved designer shirts and expensive whisky, the next would be something genuinely interesting about how music influenced the track design in F-Zero GX.

I used to buy both PC Gamer and PC Zone. PC Zone in particular was brilliant and very funny (see the Around the Net thread for more). The cover disks were always a big draw as well - back in the dark days of dialup downloading a 600MB demo was not fun. Now I get 99% of my gaming news from the excellent Rock, Paper, Shotgun. Doesn't help that my PC hasn't been upgraded in about six years and has less processing power than some smartphones, so I tend to play lots of indie stuff which the print mags don't cover in any great detail.

My girlfriend regularly buys Bizarre, and my flatmate buys Total Film and Empire, so I guess I can count those.

Coilhouse is the only one I go out of my way to read/purchase/pimp. My wife, who works at Sweetwater Sound, regularly comes home with several industry mags like Electronic Musician (which is now the combined Mix and EM), Sound on Sound, et al., because they pretty much hand that shit out there. So I read those, even if the reviews are four months out of date. My wife got a sub to This Old House as a gift from her parents when we bought our house, too.

When I'm in a bookstore, though, I make it a point to browse the periodicals. I don't subscribe to anything (though I should), but I do try to impulse buy. If you can try to do such a thing. My interests vary, but anything in the creative arts will usually at least get a looksie.

My main problem with most mainstream periodicals is how goddamned recycled most of them are. You can conceivably pick up two issues that are six months apart and they'll have the same fucking articles, reprinted or damn close. I'm honestly not well-connected enough to keep up with the smaller magazines, and I never pay attention to Warren's stickies about magazine makers. (I am a bad reader.)
