You guys are all kicking arse this week. Sadly my busy schedule doesn't allow for such luxuries as painting at the moment, so you'll have to fight the good fight without me.
So I kinda forgot the "fakes her way into an orphanage, gets into college" part. Oops.
@DBed - Saw yours on DA & I had to throw my hat in. Love it! @ Paul Sizer - I love that slightly gruesome little meeting point on her alien/human sides. NICE.
@Paul Sizer - First of all, kick ass. Second, and perhaps more crucially...
...BOOB WINDOW??
It's a reference to Power Girl's "boob window" on her costume, which has been explained as being "an empty space that is waiting for a symbol she's worthy of", but more truthfully is just an excuse to draw her massive cleavage every issue. A smart young co-ed like Supergirl would be concerned what that kind of costume decision would say about her to the general public, right?
Sizer you must be a student of Hogarth and his Dynamic Wrinkles and Drapery, your clothing always catches my attention. Great job everyone, hope I make the deadline on this one.
Super Girl has all the powers of a seventy-two foot (21.9456 m) Electric Eel, and is viewed by most parents as a horrible role model for most young girls.
I hope I didn't write too much. D: *Wanders back into the sea*
@DBed: the way I was going about this R/R is graphically quite similar to the solution you chose... damn, I'll just finish my version and simply pretend I didn't know :) At least the concept is not the same, but I would've love to have had your idea. It's excellent and your entry is beautifully done. @Neila: you're frighteningly good at this R/R thing. @Paul Sizer: I know you're busy and all, but any chance we'd get to see the fully alien version of Supergirl? Awesome work!
But, in the end, my heart goes to @Amalgamated Biscuit's Supergirl.
