Every time I load this discussion I want to write another comic that will never be drawn.

Here's a project that now I can share with the general public. I did the design work for a CD from UK artist Frank Joshua, who contacted me on a recommendation from Thomas Dolby (I know, right...). Frank did this album really as a labor of love, and it shows in the music. Kind of a mix of Prefab Sprout, Frazier Chorus and folk, with a little electronics added in. It's also immensely catchy, and had me hooked from the word "go". Music for a summer day, driving around with no particular agenda, which isn't a bad thing.

If you have the time, please check out some of these links and enjoy this talented musician's work (and the marginally talented bloke who he got to design the whole package).

    Ahahahaha! That's great, @Michael!

Too much good stuff. Loved all your found covers, @kyle.

Well, I've been practising with the tablet, recently, after a long hiatus, and I think I'm getting the hang of it. This piece is a Superman doodle I made yesterday, pencilled in paper and inked with photoshop. Colours will follow.

@JP I freaking love that costume design. Kinda has a Paul Pope or Rafael Grampa feel to it.

So, ladies and gents...I'm looking for an artist to collab with and this seems like the best place to pull from. You guys blow me away every single time I come here. I have a bunch of written projects that I really don't have the time to draw and a few of them require a style outside of my wheelhouse. I'll go into details over e-mail, but If your taste falls towards the weird and oozes black humor I'd like to hear from you. Influences include (but not limited to) Biker films, Sexploitation, Horror/Scifi, Psychedelica, Witchcraft, Garage Rock, Trash Culture, Lycanthropism, and Saturday Morning Cartoons.
My e-mail is under my profile if'n you're interested.

@kyle-latino- awesome stuff you've posted this month. love the retro colour treatments. Wonderful drawings.
    @killer sketch card, Mr. G
Love the Barda piece, @m.e. walsh.
    Sobreiro and Paul- awesome!

Almagamated Biscuit! You honor me sir, thanks! Nice job man!

here's another inky wash piece I finished today. I lost control of the wet on wet background, so the plumes of smoke coming out of the flyer didn't really work out for me. Oh well, maybe next time. Gonna lay some transparent coloured inks over this now- I love the insane green and purples of the Goblin, so it should be fun.

Awesome month folks, and we're only half way thru!

The artwork this month came out of the gate awe-inspiring. Just fantastic work this month thus far.

    Costume Design
I am working on a personal project this summer. I cannot think of any better group of people to inquire about design then you Art thread machines. I would love your feedback on these costumes. As you can see, there’s not much to them and they are flesh-tone. The general idea is that this is the costume you meet the characters in. There’s formal-ware and the colors change depending on a few factors.

Think of them as the uniform. What are your thoughts?

I've been doing a bit of commissions with Harry Potter focus:
    WW2 Potter

And a hint of Doctor Who:
Dr Who and Remus and Tonks

Lastly, I'll bandwagon my quiet Fred Christ cooking moment from the Transmet Art book:

@jackcrowder loving that Dr. Who. Love your colors in all your pieces. I like those costumes at the top as well.
