    Here's a Lino cut I did today of John Dillinger's mug shot. I will post the print once I get it done....tomorrow?

    This new Lino material they have is very soft. I assume the thinking with that is that it will be easier to cut, which it isn't, however it needs to be pasted on to something flat or it could make a mess out of your print job. So I glued it to a piece of foamcore.

    I feel a little embarrassed posting here, there is some beautiful, jubbly lovely, kick ass work on here that blows my mind every time I look.

    Thanks for sharing all your amazing work.

    Hey the folks!

    As I must confess... on my way to posting this fine entry to the Geisha topics on the fine Bristolwhip Sketch Group..I was ... well waylaid by life's greatest hooligans... Deadlines and Time Conflicts! Well I have won the briefest of respite, and so I post my missing entry. Thanks guys!

    Another topic over at the Bristolwhip Sketchblog is The West…So here is my post to that effort…
    RoboRanger
    Or Captain America...But because after having worked on The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes for the last two years, I wanted to draw a silly Cap instead… LOOK OUT! IT”S CAPTAIN A-MOO-RICA!

    @tnperkins - You're a tough act to follow. Stunning.

    So firstly, here's the final artwork for the cover of this year's Continuum Con in Melbourne, which @m1k3y kindly recommended me for.
    I really enjoyed working on this one. Inks, watercolours, a bit of Alchemy in the background.

    I also promised to post my final animation for the semester, so here it is. Bit of ridiculous romp that I'll be reworking for an upcoming competition. All hand drawn pencil on paper, backgrounds hastily painted watercolours. Ludicrously, I did the soundtrack myself, acapella. Vimeo embed foils me yet again...

    @tnperkins…love the robo-geisha and cowboy-robo.
    @hey apathy…nice looking tree! Dude, I have no idea how you can draw all those buildings….I finding I don't like drawing buildings and straight lines!!

    WIP collab or how I now fear cityscapes..nooo!

    @tnperkins Ha! Those are great.

    @mojo - nice city shots, I like the use of color, too.

    Lying in bed this morning I realized that I screwed up the numbers on the John Dillinger Lino cut because once I print it, it will be backwards. This is the second time I've made this mistake, and I remember the first time thinking, I'll never do that again. Ha.

    I got some copic markers in today and did this in like half an hour to sort of test them out...no pencils--I think it looks indistinguishable from a lot of my other inked stuff, but was a lot more intuitive. I like the two brushes they have on the markers:

    And then I made these both the last few days:

    Can't remember if I posted them yet or not.

    I love Captain A-moo-rica, there should be a huge crossover event which reboots Cap as this.

    Just got an email reminder about Hope: The Hero Initiative. They've sold out of half the print run and looking to push the rest out the door. The full color, 188-page softcover has a cover price of $19.95 and can be ordered from retailers with the Diamond Order Code DEC101038.

    Jeff Telofski and Keith Brett wrote a charming little story and it was fun to draw, colour and letter a story again -- I think it's only the second time I've done that. If sharing my bit here helps move a few copies, all the better!
